I have to say this is the second time going, but this is my new hangout for me and my husband. I love my waitress, Robin she is absolutely a sweetheart. I feel like it was such a blessing to Meet her. If you ever go and dine in, definitely ask for her she is probably the best waitress I’ve ever had! By the way if you see this message, Robin, I love you and I miss you already. Hope to see you soon! The food is absolutely amazing. There’s nothing I have had there that is awful. Everything was splendid. They even do substitutions on things which I really appreciated because I’m allergic to some things. Thank you guys so much! We have visited dozens upon dozens of restaurants, and so far for us this is literally the best restaurant in Northwest Florida. Quality is incredible, food is always perfectly cooked, and every bite is a spiritual experience. We have gone many times over the years and have never been disappointed. The staff is wonderful and the cooks know what they are doing. If you are visiting the area, this place is worth the visit. The food is still worth it even at double the price. I am not exaggerating when I say it is incredible.
Since the original review above we have visited many times and it has always been wonderful. It does seem though that portion sizes have gotten slightly smaller, although the taste and quality are still superb.

This place is amazing. Went in on a whim like 2 years ago when my flight got delayed 3 hours. Thought it was a little dive diner and was pretty surprised when it was not. It’s a very nice place with an impressive menu, impressive plates, and very impressive cocktails. This is now a regular spot. Go get a full belly and fuzzy vision.

My husband brought me here for our Anniversary. It was quiet and not very busy. Our server, Will, was great.
The food was so good. We especially liked the Seared Ahi Tuna 10/10. I had the Angel Hair Pasta w/olive oil and my husband had the pork chop. Both were very good.

Basil & Baxter’s is an absolute gem. The atmosphere is amazing—laid-back but lively—with great music that really sets the vibe. The food is consistently awesome and clearly made with care. On top of that, their happy hour from 4–6 PM is such a win. Perfect spot to unwind, grab a drink, and enjoy great food with an even better atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Great little find! Where the locals go! Pleasant last minute surprise on the way to the Destin airport. HAPPY HOUR! GOTTA TRY THE CUCUMBER JUICE MARTINI & THIS CHICKEN CAESAR WRAP WAS THE TASTIEST EVER! Walked into the restaurant, we inquired about happy hour and was led to the back where they have a casual bar and good eats.The main menu looked amazing. Hope to return.
