The Littles and I stopped in for lunch. They each went with the kids meal which is fry bread with ground beef with cheese. They loved it and enjoyed the new experience. I decided on Nishnabe Taco with Bison meat. The meat was delicious along with the whole taco. The Littles later decided we had to eat there again so we ended up coming back for dessert which was Sweet Bread and it was delicious. This place is well worth the trip down from I-40 for an inexpensive meal.

Great fry bread. The savoury tacos were delicious. They were generous with their portions of chicken, beans and salads.
The fountain drinks were having a watery day, yet they did not deter us from ordering a strawberry cream fry bread which set us right from breakfast to dinner.
Clearly the locals know and love this place.
Great appreciation for the Potawotamie language use on the sign.

My husband and I both ordered ground beef fry bread tacos with all the fixings and one spicy meat pie to share. The fry bread tacos were great but man oh man the meat pie was soooo delicious!!! I highly recommend trying the meat pies!

Park right in front walk on in its like subway they slide it and you tell them what you want on your frybread. Super delicious the bread is light and airy the beans wasn’t seasoned to my liking but that’s ok I had salt and pepper on the table. Iced tea wasn’t that sweet. The place is clean employees were nice. Definitely worth a visit. The meat pie was very good and I think it could use more meat. Corn soup is delicious definitely worth it.

When you go in, you walk up to the counter to make your order from their very easy to read menu. We ordered ours to go, because of reviews we read saying they didn’t like the dine in plates. There was only one guy working the front, but he was fast even though he was getting fresh made fry bread from the back. They only make fry bread tacos, meat pies and sweet fry bread (fry bread with powdered sugar and honey on top). I chose bison, pinto beans, lettuce, tomato, cheese and sour cream for my taco. Hubby had the same except he chose ground beef, both were very good. Tender meat, not greasy and flavorful, the beans were great too. Hubby also got the beef meat pie to go, it was meat, cheese, potatoes and green chilies. The crust was crispy and flaky and the inside was tender and flavorful. We went out of our way to go here and I think it was worth it.

FireLake Fry Bread Tacos has some of the best frybread you’ll find anywhere. It’s got that perfect mix of crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They load it up with your choice of tasty stuff like bison, chicken, beef, beans, cheese, and all the fixings. If you’ve never had frybread tacos before, this place is a must-try. Even if you have, it’s worth checking out. To the people out there with two star reviews on this business these people are working their tails off to get their reviews and you get mad over some change did you ever think that they might not have enough change and if they did give you that changed and they wouldn’t be able to serve the next customers so ignore those two star reviews and also if you choose the wrong ingredients to put on your fry bread Taco do not give them a review because of your choices

Visited before taking in a game at Firelake Arena. Ordered the Frybread taco with beef, black beans, green chilies, sour cream, salsa, onions, cheese, and black olives. Plus added the Sweet Bread that is powdered sugar, cinnamon and warm honey over frybread. The main entree meat lack seasoning but overall it was good and got my moneys worth (approximately 35 dollars for 3 meals and drinks.)

The sweet bread desert was delicious. Loved the fact that the honey was warm. A must have if you stop in.

Definitely would stop in if I was in the area visiting the arena.

I’m still sitting here eating my food and it is SO GOOD I had to write this now.
I asked what they recommended so I got the meat pie and asked for it spicy. I had a feeling I wouldn’t need any sauce with it and I was right. The spice level is just right, the meat & potatoes DELICIOUS, nice crisp fry bread, and the cheese perfectly gooey! 10/10 Definitely making this place a regular stop of mine while I’m out on the road. Get the sweet tea ✨️
