we chatted with the owner once, and he told us he even makes the wasabi from scratch. the wasabi alone deserves an award, so flavorful, not the harsh store-bought kind. the owner is almost always there, making the sushi himself and running things with such a friendly vibe. he truly deserves recognition. this is literally the only sushi my stomach can tolerate, so that says a lot.
and it’s not just the sushi. their entrées are unforgettable too. my husband swears by the chicken katsu: crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and the portion/price is super fair.
definitely worth stopping by if you’re in the area!
I had already paid for my food and was simply asking to receive my order. Instead of resolving the situation, she threatened to call the police on me. This was completely unacceptable and very unprofessional.
No customer deserves to be treated this way. I felt disrespected and shocked by this behavior. Management seriously needs to train their staff on basic customer service and respect. I will not be coming back.
There is a food court in HMart supermarket complex with a few tables per restaurant/stall. It is usually enough table space but at peak times it can get pretty cramped.
Service is a bit on the gruff side for the price required, in my opinion.
Pro Tip
If you come as a couple or group, why not split a pack (or two) of sushi among yourselves and try some of the offerings from other stalls, as well?
Ok, I freely admit that that was not exactly a groundbreaking suggestion but….what can you say?
If you’re a sushi lover searching for a fresh and affordable option, look no further than Tokyo Lunch Box inside Super H Mart in Niles.
This unassuming spot serves up daily fresh sushi rolls at prices that are simply unbeatable.
Today, I indulged in the Shrimp Tempura and Salmon Avocado Maki, and they were as delicious as always.
The sushi is prepared with care, using high-quality ingredients that burst with flavor. The rice is perfectly cooked, and the fish is remarkably fresh.
If you’re in the Niles area, I highly recommend giving Tokyo Lunch Box a try. It’s a hidden gem that sushi enthusiasts will appreciate.
It says ‘Order and Pay,’ implying that you can place and pay for an order, but in reality you can’t order or pay for anything at all.
The business is listed as open, yet there is nothing you can actually order or purchase. Very frustrating and misleading.
