Went here on my anniversary because I kept seeing videos of this place. I’m going to be straight forward, it’s come a time we need to be careful with all these influencers posting videos. If you search this up you see tons of videos but I feel it’s all hype. I got the combo b beef with pork jowl and the fried chicken. The meat itself was extremely good, tender, and flavorful. Sure they cook it for you which made the service great. We came for the dinner menu and I reserved a table at 5:30. We were the only people there for the first hour which felt a little odd. The kimchi soup was salty and the banchan was average. Again the meat good but for the price we paid it was almost $150 per person including tip. That is a very steep price but since it was a one time thing we learned now to not trust everyone that posts.

Beef combo was high quality and delicious.
We were pleasantly surprised they also have beef tongue available off-menu.
Our waiter was friendly and attentive, we had a wonderful experience.

Randomly drove pass and decided to try them for lunch. Plenty of space, very nice staff, and hot tea on a cold day was comforting. Weirdly, they opened the window to the parking lot and flies were coming in. But it wasnt too bad with the dust coming from the main road.
About $27 average for a lunch combo meal (galbi+ soup), and 4 sides.
$16 average for a soup with rice. Gamjatang was on the saltier side. Will come back again for their yummy galbi & homestyle side dishes.

Lunch started at $15.. Galbitang lunch was below average… The Galbi was super chewy and look nothing like the photo in menu I can’t really chew it. The banchan is not a lot of variety. There was 2 duplicate.

Not much services interms of refill etc

Amazing food! We are a bit snobby about our Korean food, and this place, with high confidence, is one of the best! The marinated Prime King Galbi was UNBELIEVABLE! Side dishes were of high quality and delicious! The tofu soup broth was spot on, and last but not least the kimchi pancake put a smile on our faces 🙂
Highly recommend this place. Staff were super nice and professional. Will be back for sure to try their A5 🙂

Absolutely incredible experience at Don Blanc! If you’re looking for a good place in Santa Clara, this is the spot. The quality of the wagyu and beef short ribs is unmatched. You can really tell they don’t skimp on the grade of meat. Even the side dishes were fresh and flavorful. Highly recommend. Took the work from us bbq the meat ourselves they took the time to do it for us.

I tried the Korean BBQ here, and while the meat was tender and well-cooked, the flavor was overwhelmingly sweet for my taste. It seemed like almost every dish—even the panchan—had a sugary profile, which made it hard to enjoy the savory balance I usually expect in Korean food. I did let the owner know, but everything still came out very sweet. If you prefer less sugar or a more traditional, savory-spicy flavor, this might not be the right spot. Might be better suited for those who enjoy sweeter marinades.

The food is really fresh and delicious! The staff helps with the BBQ right at the table, which makes the experience even better. All the side dishes are tasty and refills are quick and easy.

This newer Korean restaurant was at the top of my list for places to go to ever since they opened, because I had heard a lot of good things about their Oakland location. Overall the experience here was really nice. The experience felt really authentic with a great variety of delicious banchan and the meat is presented in a really nice way as well. The brisket was delicious and the bibim naengmyeon was also really nice(not too spicy). The only issue I had was with the boneless short rib, or the “premium snowflake meat”. The cut on it unfortunately had a bit of tendon/cartilage which made the pieces uncharacteristically crunchy rather than soft or tender. However, I brought up this issue with the manager and he was quick to test it out himself and get a replacement for the meat. The replacement was much better, and I am very glad he was understanding of the situation. If I were to base everything off of the original meat, I’d give it a 3./5, however because the manager got us different meat, I’d give the experience a 4.8/5. It is a bit pricey however for the quality it is understandable.

4.5-star to be more exact. Visiting my brother in the area, I had a Korean BBQ combo for 2, pretty decent meat quality but nothing spectacular… Kimchi Jjigyu that came with the combo was just okay. However, the service was excellent, cooking the meat adjusting to our eating speed and being considerate, thank you . Good enough to come back and try their chef’s special Korean dishes
