The croffles were absolutely amazing. We got the strawberry cheesecake, Oreo, biscoff, and birthday cake. The strawberry cheesecake was my favorite, but be forewarned, they are all super SWEET. You cannot go wrong with any flavor they have. I also ordered a fruit tea which had the perfect sweetness (25%) and it was light on the ice too. Just the way I like it.

This was my first time ordering from this store. I regularly order Thai milk tea from other boba places, so I have a good point of comparison.
The Thai milk tea tasted okay, but the experience overall was disappointing. We were the only customers at the time, yet the staff member who prepared our order seemed visibly annoyed. When the drink was finished, it was placed on the counter without any acknowledgment or call-out, which felt unwelcoming.
What concerned me most was that there were black particles floating in the Thai milk tea, which I’ve never experienced before when ordering this drink from other shops. It was unusual and made me question the quality or preparation.
Between the lack of customer service and the drink issue, this first visit didn’t meet expectations. I hope this is something the shop can improve.

I recently tried three Croffles at Honeyco Desserts — Biscoff Croffle, Cookies & Cream Croffle, and Nutella Croffle — and sadly the experience was not satisfying.
The Croffle base was quite hard, which made it less enjoyable to eat. Another major letdown was that all three Croffles tasted almost identical, with the only difference being the toppings. The heavy cream was the same on every Croffle, instead of being customized to match each flavor, so the taste felt repetitive rather than unique.
On top of that, the portion size is quite small, especially considering the price. For a premium dessert, I was expecting better quality and value.
Overall, the variety looks appealing on the menu, but the execution doesn’t live up to it. Hoping they improve texture, flavor differentiation, and portion size in the future.

We got the Oreo taro milk tea and the Thai tea. Both drinks taste off. The taro doesn’t really have a strong taro tastes more like Oreo and milk and the tea in there is really perfume-y like. The Thai tea tastes as if they burnt it while brewing it, taste bitter (the sugar is regular it just has a bitter aftertaste). We didn’t try them till we got to the car and also didn’t feel like walking back and dealing with all that. Pretty disappointed honestly, I only ever get Thai tea so I know what I’d regularly taste like and that was not it. Also you don’t really get greeted or anything when they give out the drinks. They just leave them there on the counter without saying anything so I would just stand there before someone else walks up and takes. The place is cute overall and they have a lot on the menu.

I used to always like to go to Honey cow for my boba but I give a try, time and time again. My taro milk tea mostly always tasted like milk and boba balls were just hard. And my coffee boba they didnt add any sugar.

Honey Cow is under new management and has a new menu! As a huge Matcha fan, I was excited to see their new Matcha drink series. Most places in Charlotte make matcha drinks too sweet for my liking, so I was pleasantly surprised when I tried Honeycow’s Strawberry Matcha Latte—it was perfect! I even saw them whisking the matcha, which is always a good sign that it’s going to be great.
I haven’t had the chance to try the croffles yet, but they looked and smelled amazing. I could see them making them fresh, along with the whipped cream, and toppings are added to order.
Their coffee is also pretty solid—I really enjoyed their regular latte with oat milk, and they use Lavazza coffee beans, which is a big win for me.
You can order at the self-service screen by the stall or with a staff member at the counter. My drink came out pretty quickly, but even if there was a wait, I wouldn’t have minded checking out the other food stalls while waiting.
Overall, great spot—can’t wait to try more of their menu soon!

Good boba tea options where you can modify sweetness and ice levels. The crouffles are really good especially the strawberry cheesecake. It’s a nice light dessert and is topped with a few cheesecake bites. Stopping here every time we visit alley 51

I’ve been here a couple times but I had a bad experience today (April 12).
I placed an order for 2 drinks. I had purchased a tea for myself. After I received my drink, I noticed a topping was included in my fruit tea.
I spoke to the worker and told her I think there was a mistake because I didn’t request any toppings. She mentioned all the fruit teas come with a topping automatically, which I wasn’t aware of. I then asked her if she could redo the drink without the topping.
She said yes & I said thank you. As I was giving her my drink, she snatched the drink from me.
I was a bit confused as I had not behaved rudely and wasn’t sure where the behavior was coming from.
After she finished redoing the drink, she just placed the drink on the countertop and didn’t speak to me or acknowledge me by saying “okay, here’s your drink” or something. Overall, the drink is mediocre and has a weird taste to it.
I don’t know the workers name but she has black hair and was wearing a tank top. I won’t be purchasing any drinks from here now on.
