We chose Golden House from a lot of restaurants in the hotel literature. It only provides takeout. So off we went to the restaurant. It was a hot day in Dodge City and even hotter in the restaurant. The owner/cook greeted us. He told us he’s been cooking there for 35 years. We took the food back to our room. My wife was not as hungry as it was so we had the soup and egg rolls. Delicious!!!
Our next stop was Albuquerque where we had the beef and broccoli. Again Delicious!!!
If ever in Dodge City again I’m headed to Golden House. YUMMY!!

I ordered honey chicken. I got chicken in a thick gooey sauce which was made of granulated sugar. I ordered steamed rice. I got fried rice. I ordered an egg roll. I got an egg roll and it was burned on only one end! My order was to go. When the burned egg roll was put into the styrofoam container, the burned end melted the styrofoam and the styrofoam became part of the egg roll. So if you like surprises when you order food in a restaurant, this is the place for you. If you prefer to get what you order, perhaps you should seek your food elsewhere.

The egg rolls are really good and all that we ordered to go. Small restaurant was way too filthy to consider ordering food. Will not probably go again.
