It’s not my thing to have dead animals hanging on the walls but I get that we’re in the poconos. I didn’t eat but the rest of our group did and they said food was 4 stars. Service was odd and not great at the bar. The woman on my left was bizarre.

Edit….service at bar is bad

We visited on Sunday late afternoon of Columbus Day weekend. Fairly busy. Was not able to get some items listed on the menu. We all did enjoy our food. Nice size portions at a fair price. We will definitely return next year when visiting the area.

Very clearly understaffed. Our entrées took about 1.5 hours to arrive. While I understand it was a holiday and very busy, that wait time was still excessive. Several tables around us ended up leaving, and at one point there was a loud argument coming from the kitchen, which didn’t create the best atmosphere. The food itself was average.

That said, the staff we interacted with were excellent! Friendly, attentive, and doing their best despite being stretched thin.
I also noticed similar complaints in reviews going back to 2019. It seems like scheduling and staffing adjustments would go a long way toward improving the overall experience here.

We came at lunch. We were visiting the park and stopped. The place was not overly full and we were greeted immediately. We sat inside. Our drink order was taken immediately and our server was very polite. We looked over the menu and thought the pricing was a bit high as none of our sandwiches came with fries and they were a $3.00 up charge. It was clearly spelled out in the menu, but a disappointment. We chose 2 elk burgers and added fries. A hot chicken sandwich and a pulled pork sandwich. All came out as requested. The fries were hot and fresh, the sandwiches were also hot and fresh. The chicken sandwich was a small let down. It was very tasty but very thin. We took the chicken off the one half to add to the other half so it was more meaty. The pulled pork was very good, the bun was the problem. It was large and looked great when put down, but it was the type of bread that was the issue. It was hard to eat the sandwich without it squiring out the side. It tasted great, but it was difficult to eat. I managed though. A softer option would have been better. My only real complaint was refills. They charge you a dollar each. The waitress came to our table asking if we wanted refills but never informed us there was a charge. It wasn’t listed on the menu that we saw. It’s something she could/should have mentioned. Overall we enjoyed our visit. With the pricing, we may not just stop on a whim, but would probably go back for a special occasion.

This place was such a gem find! We were visiting for the weekend and I had made a reservation. Unfortunately I didn’t know it was close to closing time being a server myself we felt horrible and tried to get out quickly and it was also snowing. With that being said this is why I couldn’t take many photos. The buffalo shrimp was hands down THE BEST I HAVE EVER HAD. My husband had the waygu burger I had a few bites it was delicious I highly recommend! I ate a flatbread it wasn’t the greatest and the garlic smashed potato’s were sooooo creamy and good! Our server Brianne was so sweet even at closing time! She was on top of our table and needs without ever rolling her eyes or making it obvious she wanted to leave for the night I’ve been there and she didn’t rush us thank you . I wish I caught her name she was really pretty with dark hair and a lip piercing just wanted to thank you for your wonderful service!

Made my first visit to the promised land inn in Greentown two weeks ago. An amazing restaurant nestled in the promised land state park- amazing food- no added chemicals or antibiotics or garbage. I loved the buffalo shrimp, spinach dip, and elk meatloaf. Definitely worth the trip and drive. Also know for their 3lb tomahawk steaks – they only get 7 at a time. Fresh air, good service, wilderness, and a great place to eat local.

Absolutely Wonderful! The food was great and came out hot
The Inn has a nice local atmosphere and very clean, and the bartender makes a mean Martin!! We will definitely be back.

We started with the buffalo shrimp, and I went with the Cornish hen. Both mazing. I got about 4 bites in until I was full the steak was awesome too! Bonus, you can get beer to go.

Good ambiance and decent food options. It was a busy evening, so it was a disappointment with the service, I had to wait for 40 mins to get the check.

Chicken wings had some kind of smell. Overall experience is okay-ish.

The food was ok. The drinks were tasty. The service was kinda slow. But the staff seemed friendly. Visited during a weekend getaway to the Promised Land State Park and it was one of the closest options.
