First time trying this Memphis hotpot & Korean BBQ
spot with a friend. We only came for hot pot today and didn’t do the BBQ. I enjoyed my time but there were a few things that could be improved on. We were told most of the vegetable items would be at the front which would have been fine but only a small selection was so we still had to order them and those orders seemed to have kept getting lost in our seafood ones. Other franchises such as KPot just have a system where you order all items from an iPad assigned to the table. It reduces customer foot traffic slightly so it might be a worthwhile upgrade since this restaurant seems to be doing well based on the overall high Google review. The other thing was the ventilation system. I expect hotpot and Korean BBQ places to be smokey and I know I’m going to smell like I’ve been at one when I leave. But this location had a thicker smoke. Service and food options were still great.

We had hot pot with 7 other people tonight and it was superb. You can’t beat the price here for hot pot. We had the Bun Bo Hue and Laos Chicken Soup Noodle Dish. I would say it was delish. We met Nak, and he was AWESOME. He made our experience great. 10/10

We are blown away with the Hot Pot experience. Cory was amazing, so thoughtful and helpful. It was our first time and he walked us through the process, while making us feel very welcome. Cory also took me on a tour of the upstairs Karaoke rooms, as my curiosity was at a peak wanted to know where the elevator would lead. He gave me a warm embrace and invited us back anytime. We are huge fans and have already talked about trying the Korean BBQ next week. This one goes to 11, it’s one louder…if you know you know! Highly recommend!

Although I forgot our servers name the food and everything was great. We were checked on through out the night even when it was busy. I would definitely come again with more friends and family

I had friends and family from different parts of out of town. I made a reservation for 8 a week beforehand. When we arrived we were told that because of a large party, DESPITE me having a reservation, that we would have to split up into a 6 top and a 2 top. The hostess acted like I was the crazy one and seemed annoyed that we took a minute to decide which of our 2 friends would be banished from the rest of us. During our dining experience those 2 had to sit by themselves and not with the other 6. We then got a lovely view of two open 8 tops during our entire dinner. Not to mention I made a $60 deposit because we were doing karaoke. So even if you bring them $700+ they won’t care. Will make my reservations somewhere else if they aren’t going to honor them. It ruined our experience to watch those open tables that even when we left hours later were never filled. Other reviews have mentioned similar situations. DO NOT come here with a party and expected to be accommodated!

The Missing Link: How to turn this $50 potential into a 5-star experience —

This restaurant offers fresh ingredients and a premium $50 DIY hot pot concept with great potential.

But the complete lack of sauce guides or recipe cards forces guests to guess on flavor ratios, resulting in a confusing and poor-tasting meal that didn’t match the price tag.

So, my suggestion: stakeholders need to implement “flavor cheat sheets” to help guests succeed; until then, ask your server to build your sauce bowl for you, or you risk ruining your own dinner.
