Highly recommended, approachable classic pub food and drinks with a local twist and exciting weekly specials to keep you coming back. My last visit I got the fish and chips, clam chowder, and a pint of Guinness. Phenomenal food and Perfect pour! The new head chef is taking a comfortable local spot and bringing it up to the next level. The next time you are downtown, I highly encourage you to stop by. It was a great way to end the work week.

Nice spot in the whaling district of New Bedford! I was there last night with some friends and we were all very happy with our night out. The restaurant wasn’t busy even though it was a Saturday night. The menu isn’t large but that’s never a bad thing- quality over quantity.

The restaurant itself has a large bar and a nautical theme, which makes sense for the area. My friends had drinks and were happy with them. We also started with the nachos. I found the addition of scallops in them to be an interesting but not unpleasant choice.

I ordered the fish and chips and they were great! Fries were standard but the fish was flaky and the breading had an excellent crunch. The portion size I felt was reasonable for $24 but some of the prices may have been expensive.

Our waitress was attentive but not overwhelming, which I appreciated. She made sure we were well taken care of and had refills. Overall, every one was happy and I highly recommend a visit if you’re in the area!

This is a cozy bar that serves delicious food! I always get the monster lobster roll for $40, but this year they doubled the price at $75 with French fries…. And $9 for a quahog??? I go to this place once a year but this time my lunch totalled $100…. No alcohol either. Probably won’t go back. Sad

Unable to sit outside on a beautiful summer day because they don’t have umbrellas?! Food was below average and overpriced for the area. Calamari was overcooked, fish and chips were average, Cuban wasn’t good and the chourico melt was lacking in every aspect. Will not be returning!!

What a great surprise. I had no idea that this neighborhood of New Bedford was so cute. Its a superior version of Charlestown and Portsmouth combined.

The menu is a fantastic representation of contemporary New England Cuisine.

The beer selection is great too. It’s always nice to see Maine Beer Company represented because I believe that it is the best brewrry in the USA and these days we need some sunshine.

Quaint little Tavern in Downtown New Bedford. It was my first time here. The food was great, the service was pleasant, and the atmosphere was fitting for the establishment. We got Quahogs and chicken wings, and they were very tasty. It was not busy when we went only 2 other groups that were there. Service was pleasant and quick. There was available seating indoors and outdoors. Cute place overall. I would definitely recommend going if you haven’t checked it out yet!

Lovely little restaurant with good food! Selection isn’t too large but enough for a small group of hungry first-time visitors to New Bedford. It’s close to all the attractions too; a bonus!

We stopped in for lunch. Service was great. We liked the outdoor seating. Food was good but needed some seasoning. A little salt, pepper, and hot sauce made it great.

I brought my son here for a birthday dinner. Downright awful. Online advertised maple steak they were off the menu. My son chose salmon, they uniquely conceal its awfulness with sauce. Then serve overcooked asparagus and “roasted potatoes”, which are literally leftovers from their breakfast menu. My fish was thin, flat, and dry. I had to pay $4 extra for truffle fries, which is just shaking some cheese on regular fries. I don’t usually get mixed drinks in places like this because they’re giant glasses of juice. The beer was beyond overpriced. The server however was a lovely young lady who had just started that day, and I hope she applies somewhere else once she’s trained. It was Juneteenth, so many places were closed and Cultivator had an issue and couldn’t make hot food. I should’ve went to Fathoms, it’s always delicious and consistent. Better choices -Cultivator, Black Whale, Cork, Fathoms, Cafe Italia, Black Bass or Sail Loft.
