Mediterraneo in Westlake Village is a stylish and romantic spot, perfect for a special date.
We went the night before Valentine’s Day to celebrate our anniversary, and although it was fairly busy, the atmosphere still felt elegant and enjoyable.
The food overall was good – the salad was excellent, and while the French lentil soup they had that night wasn’t our favorite, the Calamari was ok and the steak was delicious. We finished with the chocolate pudding , which was smooth, and absolutely delicious.

Wonderful brunch menu with plenty of options. Excellent drinks and espresso. Service is attentive and polite. Seating indoors is quiet, outside has views of a little lake.

We got together with our good friends to dine at what used to be an excellent restaurant in Westlake Village. We were very disappointed with the food quality, but their sourdough bread is still the best! Besides the bread being the highlight, we were disappointed with everything else. The beet salad had absolutely no flavor, the lobster bisque was fishy and had absolutely no lobster in it (unlike Maestro’s lobster bisque that is absolutely the best), and the short rib pappardelle was fair, at best.

The ambiance is excellent, so the next time we go we will just order bread from the bar and enjoy happy hour.

I paid $400 for a dinner for two, while the price initially advertised on their website was $290, which was very disappointing. For $400, you could dine at a two-star Michelin restaurant on top of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, so my expectations were understandably high. Unfortunately, this restaurant does not justify that price point. The food was okay, but far from exceptional, and the desserts were overly sweet. On a positive note, the service was professional and correct. Overall, the experience was not worth $400.

Terrible service and terrible food. We ordered the roasted chicken for our toddlers to share. The roasted chicken came with 2 pieces a separate breast and thigh. The thigh was rubbery and undercooked. We served our kids the breast only with the mashed potatoes. When the waitress came by to ask how it was, I told her the thigh seems undercooked and rubbery. She took the plate away. She had the audacity to come back with the plate and said “she examined the chicken and it is cooked all the way through”. She asked if we want it back or if she should toss it. I told her put the plate on the table and call your manager. I was so appalled by this. I explained to her manager what type of restaurant takes my plate, “examines” the food, and brings it back for me to eat?! How am I supposed to know if she stuck her fingers in my chicken to examine it? I complained it is rubbery! At the very least replace that piece of chicken…. I’ve never seen such irresponsible handling of food. And to think this is a high end restaurant with high end pricing.

The roasted chicken was disgusting.
The creamy salmon over crispy rice was fishy
The beef carpaccio was bland
The NY bone in steaks were both overcooked and so tough

We usually go to Mastro’s nearby and decided to give this place a chance. Huge mistake. The manager invited us back for a free meal. No thank you. Never coming back here.

There are many other places in this area with good service and good food.

A lovely neighborhood Italian place, secluded in an area with a hotel parking and other establishments. Can get VERY busy on Friday and Saturday nights, with long lines waiting for the valet parking.

Atmosphere is great, seating inside or outside, and perfect for a warm summer evening. Service was very pleasant and appropriately attentive.

The menu is simple but inclusive – I had a perfectly delicious grilled salmon, my partner had roast chicken and we shared sides of grilled mushrooms and succotash… The food is simply delicious. We went a second time a few days later with another couple, and again we had delicious meals.

Get the bread serving! Warm, delicious freshly baked bread to start!

Bill for two of us, including cocktails, dessert, tax and tip came to $150 – well worth it and we’ll go back!

Valet parking was $7 and worth it, because it gets crowded!!

I love this restaurant! The food is always on point and they have the prettiest outdoor patio overlooking the Westlake Village Inn properly. Highly recommend checking them out and then walking around after.

Went here for our 2 year anniversary and i couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The waiter was courtesy, kind and professional. The food came out very quick and tasted amazing (I don’t think I’ve a better salmon in my life). And finally, they did add a little nice touch at the end of the night for our anniversary. Overall, the experience was exceptional. Would highly recommend to anyone else celebrating their anniversary.

We visited the restaurant on Saturday evening for dinner.

**Ambience:** The acoustics were disappointing — the space was noisy, which made conversation difficult.

**Food:**
– *Starters*: We ordered the beet salad and carpaccio. The carpaccio unexpectedly contained capers, which were not listed on the menu. The beet salad was fine, but nothing memorable.
– *Main Courses*: Short rib pappardelle and mushroom risotto. Both dishes were good, but neither stood out as exceptional.
– *Dessert*: We were surprised to find no classic Italian options such as tiramisu or affogato. We had the sundae, which was just average.

**Service:** Initially, service was disappointing. As mentioned, the carpaccio contained capers we don’t enjoy, and the waiter, who seems to be very pleasant in general, did not check on us after serving the starters. We ended up “picking out the capers” ourselves. When the waiter finally returned, he confidently insisted the menu listed capers. We asked to see the menu, but after waiting several minutes without receiving it, we had to ask another server.

However, once I expressed my dissatisfaction, the waiter relayed it to the manager. He apologized and offered a generous gesture: they removed the wine and carpaccio from the bill and treated us to dessert — without us requesting any compensation.

**Overall Impression:**
Their response was professional and exceeded my expectations, leaving a positive impression despite the rocky start. It’s clear they value their guests. The restaurant is pleasant, with good food and attentive management, but given the many dining options available, I’m not sure it ranks at the top of my list.
