We had a very nice meal recently at Artemis. South Lake Tahoe is filled with pizza and burgers and asian and Italian foods. Some are really good and some are just decent.
My wife found this Mediterranean restaurant and we thought we’d give it a try. The staff was super nice and the food was hearty and delicious. We were very pleased with the experience and would certainly revisit again.

Loved this quaint place in south lake tahoe. We had the chicken wrap and falafel wraps. Their fries are amazing, a must try. We enjoyed the outdoor seating, would come back again!

We got chicken and lamb entree and Babaganush as appetizer. The appetizer was great. Chicken platter, chicken was flavourful however the saffron rice was too salty. It came with veggie skewers as well and it was cooked nicely. The garlic sauce didn’t hit the taste buds. 2.lamb platter- lamb was super flavored and juicy but it was super salty as well. And the salad that came along had too much of dressing and feta cheese which over powered the salad itself. The place had a great atmosphere and the staff was friendly. Off note I usually eat a little more salt than my friends and this was too much for me to even take a bite.

Artemis Mediterranean Grill in South Lake Tahoe was outstanding from start to finish—and surprisingly empty for how good the food is. We ordered the stuffed chicken breast and the top sirloin, and both were cooked perfectly—juicy, flavorful, and clearly made with care and high-quality ingredients. Everything came out hot, which really showed that it was all freshly made.
Dessert sealed the deal: the Chocolate Galaktoboureko was absolutely incredible. A unique and indulgent twist on a classic—crispy, creamy, and not overly sweet. One of the best desserts I’ve had in a long time.
The service made the experience even better—the waitress was super nice, friendly, and attentive. Great food, generous portions, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. This place deserves to be packed. Definitely a must-visit in South Lake Tahoe, and we’ll be back.

great service and great food! we got the lamb gyro and beef souvlake plate; the beef wasn’t to our taste but the lamb gyro, the fries (that it came with), and the sauce were amazing

We were vacationing in Lake Tahoe and had lunch here. We tried the Mahi Mahi Sandwich, Chicken Souvlake Plate, and the Gyros Plate. The food is really good here. I really like my gyros plate. It’s a bit pricey, but they do fill up your plate. They have indoor and outdoor seating.

4.5 Visiting South Lake Tahoe, we had a recommendation from a local and decided to stop by for lunch, the food was just AMAZING!!
The greek salad was so fresh and crispy!
And I had the grilled chicken with fries!
The service was really good, staff was really polite!
