Was cautioned that you come to this place for the roasted duck, which totally did not disappoint! The Soy Sauce chicken was also excellent. Next time would avoid the fried rice and bbq pork which didn’t tastes as fresh as I would have liked. However, I would definitely go back and this time get a whole roasted duck to eat and take home.

I recently visited this restaurant and tried the Fish-Fragrant Eggplant and Lamb Stew. Unfortunately, the dishes were disappointing. The Fish Fragrant Eggplant was overly sweet and not enjoyable, and the Lamb Stew was just okay. To make matters worse, they sent an extra dish Pork Tripe with Chicken which was particularly unpleasant and not what I expected. Overall, the flavors did not meet my expectations, and I won’t be returning

The “crispy” seafood noodles $14 were soggy. The chef messed up. I ordered it with less gravy. By the time I finished my wonton soup $12, all of the noodles were no longer crispy. The gravy was watery. It was an abomination to eat this. The wonton soup was a tiny bit better. It had shrimp in it but missing authentic Hong Kong flavors. It lacked sesame oil to give it some flavor. It had a weird sweet taste in the pork that overpowered the shrimp taste. They are not plump. Service was fine. The restaurant was mostly empty on a quiet Tuesday evening. Plenty of seats. I should have ordered the BBQ items instead.

I love this place! They have the best roast duck I’ve had in this area and I love coming back to get some. We also got their char siu and crispy pork and I loved them both! The crispy pork was very crispy at the top and tender at the bottom—it’s one of the best I’ve had. We also got their egg drop soup and yang zhou fried rice and both were very tasty and flavorful.

Service is fine. We got seated quickly. We waited a little to order but I think that was because they were busy on that day

The inside is very much like a typical Chinese restaurant with round tables and white porcelain tea cups and plates. They have a stand in the back where they hang the roast ducks which I love because it feels very nostalgic of Chinatown.

Parking: There are not a lot of parking options nearby. We luckily found some street parking

TLDR: very average food for higher prices and fish wasn’t fresh 2.5 stars

Everything was just ok, nothing stood out as we would want to order again. They tried to sell us fish that looked pretty dead (not fresh) which was also a no-no. Also the honey walnut shrimp outside was soggy and not crisp.

Cheung Hing Restaurant is a famous Chinese restaurant in the San Francisco Bay Area. This one in Millbrae is near San Francisco International Airport. I would love to revisit them because my last dinner here was long ago.

The restaurant looks good from the outside. The dining room is clean and has adequate lighting. The parking lot is right next to the restaurant, and street parking is also available.

I ordered the Hong Kong style seafood pan fried noodles. It was okay! I have better pan fried noodles before. I’ll try something else next time when I am here again!

The service was comparable to that of most Chinese restaurants. The waitpersons were polite and fast. I enjoyed my dinner.

These days, there are a lot of complaints about tipping, and forced tipping. Let me tell you my experience at this place. We had two big tables of almost 30 people in total (lots of old folks ). At the end of the meal, I just looked at the total and added about 20% of tips and signed. Only days later when I looked at the receipt then I realized they already added service charges for big group. It’s me always do things in a hurry. Guess what, when I checked my bank account, the restaurant didn’t take the extra money. They are so honest that I need to eat there again. They have some dishes that I can’t find in east coast. I am a happy customer.

We stumbled upon Cheung Hing after discovering that our original dining choice was closed for the day. Having previously tried their dim sum at the Milpitas location, this was our first time at this branch. Deciding to give it a try, we ordered two Hong Kong staples: beef chow fun and the combo BBQ dish featuring char siu, soy chicken, and duck.

The portion size of the beef chow fun was generous, and the onions, green onions, and bean sprouts were all fresh. However, I felt it could have been fried a bit longer to give the chow fun a slightly crispy texture.

The combo platter was a bit of a letdown. While the soy chicken and duck were decent, the char siu was overcooked and tough to chew. I wish the char siu had been a bit fattier instead of dry.

The won ton was acceptable and the porridge was good. Visit the place in another day and ordered won ton soup with noodles, noodles with cha siu and roasted duck, roast duck plate and roasted pork. Also bought a lotus leave sticky rice Chinese with peanuts but very little or no meat…the Buddha delight was acceptable and the fried calamari was very good. The roasted duck and roasted pork over rice was acceptable

Had a bday lunch for my daughter. They were able to accommodate 13 people in 1 table. Staffs were attentive and friendly. Food was delicious and affordable.
