Born in Old Town Scottsdale in 2015, Mesquite set out to serve bold, fire-grilled Mexican street food that hits different. Cooking fresh meats over real mesquite wood, the flavors took people straight to the streets of Rocky Point, Mexico. When lines wrapped around the block and guests came back day after day, it was clear this wasn’t just a taqueria, it was the start of something big.

I had a wonderful experience at this Mexican restaurant. The food was delicious, flavorful, and truly representative of authentic Mexican cuisine. What made my visit even more special was the excellent service from a kind guy staff member who spoke to me in French. As I am from France, this made me feel very comfortable and warmly welcomed. His friendliness and attention really enhanced my experience. I highly recommend this restaurant for both the quality of the food and the great customer service.

Been coming here for years now. Such a great spot the meat is open grill charcoal grilled has wonderful flavor. I do the tacos at least 1 time a week. But the small simple menu makes it easy not to miss.

Good tacos. I like the wood fire flavor that’s infused into the meat. Pretty unique for a Taco to have that smoky flavor. The meat was a bit dry but again had great flavor. Got both the chicken and steak. Enjoyed them both equally. Loved all the toppings on it and the red saws was nice and spicy but very good. Would recommend a stop.

Fresh, well seasoned, and authentic street food. Had basically their whole menu – steak and chicken tacos, mixed quesadilla, and chips & guacamole. Everything was amazing. Guacamole is thinner than what you normally expect but still spicy and good. Just don’t expect to be able to scoop it with the chips. It works as a great addition to the tacos.

Delicious steet tacos in Old Town. Day or night life, these tacos are . Simple and quick. Good size tacos grilled on mesquite briquettes for better flavor. Just a heads up, there is no seating as it’s a walk-up window only. Best to eat om the go. Definitely worth a try.

The hours are great for just about any time to eat tacos. The Char-Grilled steak tacos are absolutely amazing. A toppings bar available for Pico, Hot sauce and lime etc.

Absolutely disgusting. Tacos were dripping with grease. Beans looked like they came out of Rosarita can. Rice was plain. Won’t be ordering ever again.

Loved the smell just walking up to this little stand. I ordered 2 steak and 1 chicken in order to try both, and although I love carne asada tacos these chicken tacos are phenomenal. They are tender, moist, and have that smokiness from the flame grill. Being able to dress my own tacos is always a plus and the red sauce packs some good heat which was great! I was a little surprised at the higher price, compared to their website menu, but that was the ONLY negative of this visit.
