First time going and we dined in. The inside is decent and our server was friendly. Ordered the flat bread pizza appetizer and it was very tasty. One entree was Trio Mare, which is shrimp, scallops and crab with pasta and white wine sauce. The portion was decent but it was bland with zero flavor. The other dinner was crab ravioli in blush sauce. The sauce was a tan color, which I’ve never seen and that had little to no flavor. Both dinners were so disappointing. Against our better judgement, we decided to split a piece of carrot cake afterwards, hoping it could redeem the horrible dinner. Boy, were we wrong. The carrot cake was round and shaped like it was formed in a cup. It still presented well, but was hard and dry when cutting into it. We each had one bite and no more. It was awful.

I ordered the Stuffed Flounder and the sauce was so buttery and sweet. The rolls are always fresh and warm, and the house dressing is precise in its oil and vinaigrette reduction. Please visit this family’s amazing restaurant!

When you live close….you forget the local gems. This is one. Main dining room nice spacious. Outdoor dining in better weather.
BYOB Appetizers of Clams Casino and Fried Tomatoes were terrific. Entrees of Salmon, Seafood over Pasta and Chicken with Prosciutto were hot plentiful and great flavor. Hot bread basket addicting!

We hosted my daughter-in-law’s baby shower at this wonderful restaurant this past Saturday.
First, Cucina Carini is beautiful and has lots of natural light. Anthony let us use the entire large dining area so all 36 of us had plenty of room for a game table, beverage table and for the mom-to-be to open gifts. They have a bar area (no liquor though) which was the perfect area for our cake/dessert trays and for the shower favors. There was no cake cutting fee. The food was great. We’ve eaten both lunch and dinner here before but I was surprised at how quickly we all were served. Our servers were very kind and efficient, asking several times if anyone needed anything.
There was nothing they wouldn’t do for us. The evening before, they let us bring our boxes of decorations and even a large wicker peacock chair and the cake. They opened the doors to us that day at 9:30 AM for a noon shower so we had plenty of time to decorate. I wanted to hang a large 7’x5’ banner right where they had hung a large and beautifully framed art piece so I asked if it could be removed during the shower. The reply? “Sure! We’ll put it in the closet.” My deepest appreciation to Paula, Anthony, the cooks and the kind server who worked the shower that day who all were on their game and truly made our shower fantastic.

This visit was long overdue. Last time we were there was a work Christmas luncheon in the bitter snowy cold several years back. Tonight was a laid back dinner in a private little room! Romantic. Next time we will definitely bring a bottle of wine.
We shared mozzarella sticks that tasted a step up from the Restaurant Depot kind so many restaurants have. He ordered veal parm which neither of us have had in ages. I tasted his and it was so tender! I ordered potato gnocchi that had some bacon and spinach in it. Service was friendly and efficient. The restaurant is adorable and such a lovely change from the strip malls, etc. Family run. A very satisfying dinner, not expensive in the least, lots of leftovers for tomorrow, and we will return soon.

Grabbed some to-go from here today. Never had the pizza before so I gave that a try. Also had a pasta dish and salad. Salad was crisp.cold and fresh! The Escorle soup was very good. Pasta dish was tasty as well, a bit garlic heavy but good. Pizza was good as well. Nice sauce and decent crust. My only complaint is crumbled sausage…I’m a sliced or lump kinda guy!

Me and my husband was looking for somewhere new to eat for our anniversary dinner and Cucuna Carini more than hit the spot. Melissa was our server and she was walking in the door with us as we arrived. She went right to work and got our warm bread and even gave good suggestions for our meals. I even got dessert and she put “Happy Anniversary “ on the dessert plate for us. We will be traveling to New Jersey again to enjoy other meals at this restaurant. The food was delicious and the serving sizes was more than we expected. I recommend you make your reservation and go enjoy the atmosphere, service, food and relaxing music.

The sauces (or gravy) on the pasta is great. The veal was so tender you didnt need a knife to cut it; was like it melted in your mouth. The staff is friendly and attentive. BYOB though I’m not a drinker I did notice most tables had brought wine for dinner.

I’ve dined here once and the food was horrendous. The fried calamari was fishy and mushy and the chicken parm was tough. We decided to give them a second chance with something easier- stromboli. The inside was completely raw which will definitely make someone sick. I had high hopes for this place because people rave about it but I gave it 2 chances too many. Unfortunately I would never recommend this place. Pictured- the left side is the raw dough and the right side of the stromboli is the cheese.
