OMG, the Korean food here is the real deal and I can’t believe you can dine on such amazingly delicious dishes, way out here in a town like Winnemucca!! My wife and I saw the billboards on the interstate and decided to stop in and give it a try and I have to say, the taste of everything we had brought me back home to when I was a kid. Living in Carson City, there’s nothing out there like this and even in Reno, I can’t say I’ve found anything this good. Aside from me cooking it myself, I’d have to go to Sacramento or Vegas to find anything close. From what I understand, the location next to the old Ridley’s is new and when we got there, it was just before the dinner rush. Needless to say, the parking lot was empty at the time and we almost second guessed ourselves for coming here. When we were greeted by a very nice non-Korean girl, we hesitated even more. However, once our food arrived, all doubts were cast aside for sure! On this trip, we ordered pan fried wontons as an appetizer and split their Chap Jae and Spicy Pork Bulgogi and of course, got a side of Kimchee as well. ALL were just like home and simply amazing! As far as atmosphere goes, the dining room felt like it used to be an old Mexican restaurant and so it felt comfortable and welcoming. Very quite and even after the crowds came it and I should note, there were a surprising amount of people who showed up after us and on a Wednesday evening, it was still easy to have a quite conversation. Service was very fast and super friendly and all around, I have to say this is definitely a place you need to stop in and enjoy. I highly recommend it especially if you like big bold flavor.

I recently ate here with my sister and had a wonderful experience. I ordered the mandu guk with a taro boba tea and my sister ordered the beef bulgogi. Our food was incredibly delicious – they don’t skimp on the quality or quantity of ingredients. We were stuffed by the end, and STILL had leftovers to take home! As for service, our waitress – we didn’t catch her name, but she was a younger woman with black hair – was extremely polite and helpful. The restaurant itself is clean, spacious, and quiet – I’m autistic and am overwhelmed easily, so it was wonderful that there was no loud music or cramped seating. Price was also fantastic – $45 for two people is a steal in Winnemucca. I would highly recommend Koreana!

We really loved this restaurant. It was our first time there and we had never been to a Korean restaurant before. Didn’t know what to expect. It was really good food! I would highly recommend it. They also have many vegetarian/vegan options! So good. Just watch out because the Korean chili oil is REALLY spicy hot, but it had a nice flavor. Nice people and good service. My favorite was the Mongolian BBQ with tofu. The teriaki rice bowl was so good too.

Great small restaurant with authentic Korean food. Wasn’t too busy for lunch on a Saturday. Service was attentive and kind to our picky eaters. Food came out HOT and had wonderful flavor especially with a little spice. Liquor options, including house soju, and non-alcoholic beverages available. Great find while passing through, and have saved this as a favorite in maps. 감사합니다

Wow what an absolute unexpected gem in a middle of nowhere rest stop town. I live and work in Hospitality and fine dining in Napa Valley and generally when I got out to eat in small town I try to find the spots where locals go to eat and I can tell I found it. Everyone in here including the local sheriff are all chatting it up and I can tell this is a second home for them. This crew here is amazing the front of house staff could run the pass at the French Laundry today they were wearing many hats, as servers busser and food runner. Effortlessly running all positions never ceasing movement and making it look easy the entire time, you can tell by their pace that this is the busiest spot in town. The back of house a cute delightfully punk rock looking beanie rocking crew with a gorgeous lil blonde goth baddie in the red beanie running shit in the back. All while a short Korean lady was running float on all positions from bar to kitchen to front of house I am assuming this is the owner. Food 5/5 stars, service/ ambiance 10/5 stars don’t ever change! If you are anywhere near this town stop by it’s worth a detour!

What an amazing surprise this turned out to be! ️ I honestly never expected to find authentic Korean cuisine in Winnemucca, NV, but this place completely exceeded my expectations. From the first bite, you could taste the authenticity — bold flavors, perfectly balanced spices, and dishes prepared with real care .

It’s such a pleasant surprise to discover something this unique and high-quality in a smaller town. The whole experience felt special and memorable ✨ . If you’re passing through on a road trip like I was, this spot is absolutely worth the stop.

I’ll definitely be making this a regular stop on future drives . Already looking forward to coming back and trying even more from the menu!

Please read other recent reviews. We came here also because they had. 4.6 rating.

Pros: tasty food

What can be improved. My recommendations. Please include silverware in each takeout order. If I had not asked we would’ve left without silverware to eat with. Better service. Older white guy bald looks like his wife forces him to work there. Please hire someone pleasant to offer better customer service and smile at customers. Portion sizes are small for what you are paying. Could be because it is in the middle of no where but our plate of food came out to 30.75 after tip. Which we ordered online. Barely any kimchi as you can see in photo and not too much rice. I understand that beef ribs are expensive but please don’t skimp on rice and kimchi which are not. We don’t mind paying more for food but if we are going to we would like a fair amount. For context we ordered two sandwiches earlier that day for combined total of 30$ tri tip and burnt ends bbq sandwiches. Also we tried to call in order but they have it automated to where you have to order online. I would understand this service if they were super busy but they were not when we got there there was only two tables. I may be a little petty but this is the truth and I’m glad others are also speaking up. Also as you can see the owner doesn’t like to take ownership and likes to argue with his customers lol.

What an unexpected gem to find in Winnemucca! Was staying the night, and the hotel clerk recommended Koreana when I asked about Asian food. It’s close to the main drag, but actually on 4th street and easy to miss–so make sure you put it in your GPS!
The menu looked so good, and making a decision was hard, but finally decided on the pork bibimbap. I received a huge bowl with a large quantity of meat and delicious, fresh vegetables. The egg was perfectly cooked. But what made the meal for me was the sauce. It made the dish spectacular, and when I mentioned to the waitress about how good it was, she said all sauces were actually made in house. Yum! You won’t go wrong with Koreana, and the menu features many different and unique Korean appetizers and beverages. Very highly recommended.

I lived in Korea for a few years in the 1980s and am always looking for a good Korean restaurant so I stopped in to Koreana today on my way back from Reno and I highly recommend it. The food and service were both so excellent I tipped the server and the kitchen. I had the Steamed Bulgogi Mandu dumplings and the spicy pork bulgogi with rice and kimchi. I’ve eaten lots of mandu and although I’ve never seen it stuffed with (beef) bulgogi it was very good. I ordered my pork bulgogi on the hotter side and the heat from the gochu was spot on.

If I had any recommendation it’d be cushions for the seats (I’m a tad old) and a little chili oil for the table for the mandu and rice. And I don’t know if you have a deep fryer or not as they’re not usually something you’d find in a Korean kitchen but bulgogi cheese fries are showing up on the appetizers menus of a lot of Korean restaurants. Not traditional but it’s a unique combination and is ordered a lot.

Rest assured next time I’m headed past Winnemucca I’m most definitely stopping again to sample the dolsot bibimbap!!

I stopped by the restaurant for lunch on my way to Elko. A Korean restaurant in Winnemucca feels like a mirage, but it is real. All the dishes we had were tasty. The waiting staff were super friendly. Their new location in a mall was nice and functional. They are definitely growing more popular, adding variety to the Winnemucca restaurant scene.
