Had a late lunch at 42 Fry today. Got the shrimp and catfish Po Boy with fries. The whole meal was very freshly prepared. The fish, shrimp and fries were perfectly seasoned (neither too much nor too little). So tasty! The young lady who took our order at the register and served our meal was welcoming and attentive. Even the cook came out to check on us! To top it off, the dining area and restrooms were really clean. Can’t wait to go back soon!

I’ll be honest, for me, it’s hit or miss, but the last time I went was HIT frfr. I think it’s either the cook or time of day. But sometimes everything it PERFECT and occasionally it’s too salty. But I had a catfish sandwhich a couple weeks ago and I had SO much food! It was absolutely AMAZING The collars greens were pretty good too. And the hush puppies were so good.

I ordered online for pickup and got scammed! $4.99 for 1 piece of corn. Was told when I called its 4 for $3.99 and then she said “there’s nothing I can do about online prices!”. Awesome seafood location. Food was fresh and well prepared. I had the fried oyster basket, the wife had the shrimp tacos. My oysters came out quickly. Super hot and crispy. Tasting very fresh with s slight corn meal taste to the breading. They even asked when ordering how crispy I wanted them fried. Now that’s a cook that knows fried oysters. My side, the Cole slaw was sweet and creamy and well chilled. The wife’s shrimp tacos 2, were crispy and large. She loved the cilantro lime sauce included. Her hush puppies were crisp and slightly sweet.
Got my heart set on the catfish for our next visit.

I’ve ordered from them twice before and everything was great. I had the shrimp poboy and whiting both tasted great, crispy and flavorful. The service was very quick and seamless, as well the cashier was very nice.

Shady spot, but great food. Everything was hot, fresh, and well seasoned. Service was good and pretty fast, didn’t wait long.
Now…when I pulled up, wasn’t sure I would get out, but it was a craving and I soldiered on. In the corner were about 4 or 5 maybe homeless people chillin out and in the car I pulled up next to by this corner were two old disheveled men smoking weed. When I returned with my food one guy had went to join the corner crew while the other remained still smoking.
I hope they can clear out the store front or maybe consider moving. Really great food but I wouldn’t go alone or at night…

This was a Fish Sandwich Game Changer! I have one word for you 42 Fry….WOW!!! I stopped here to pickup lunch and ordered the flounder fish sandwich with fries and coleslaw (now, although the fries did not make it in my to go plate, I was a little disappointed) HOWEVER once I took a bite of that enormous fish sandwich, I did not care that I was missing fries. The coleslaw was excellent too! I will definitely be back and I am telling my friends, family, coworkers, and colleagues to make sure they stop by 42 Fry and try them out. Awesome food and great customer service!

Don’t waste a penny. Totally not worth it. 4 shrimp and 3 slithers of flounder bought from WalMart frozen food section for $20. 42Fry just be going through hard times because….. That’s a rip off. Potato salad taste like sour pickles and mustard. Terrible cheap food.

This was my 2nd time eating at your location. I wasn’t overjoyed with the food, but my husband liked it. Since I had a headache he got us both dinners. I only ate a few shrimp and half a piece of fish. Sunday morning my stomach was seriously upset. My husband finished eating his plate yesterday, and last night his stomach was upset. He went to work today and was sent home home for puking. Now he’s home in bed feeling God awful and still running to the bathroom. The only thing our plates had in common was the shrimp. He had catfish and I had whiting. The portions for the fish was generous. I thought the shrimp portion was skimpy, but now I’m glad we didn’t have more. I can say we won’t be returning any time soon!
I must say tho…staff was super nice both times, and the cashier even brought our food outside to the car when it was ready.
