Wifey and I were looking for a casual brunch around 1pm and saw the great reviews and gave Mimi’s a try especially after we saw they served char grilled oysters loaded! Got there around 1:30pm and there was no wait! Very few people were seated. We were sat in a nice cozy area and the rest was history! Food gets 5 ⭐️ for seasoned well, big proportions, temperature, and quickness brought out not to mention the drinks were huge and loaded as well ! Oysters were a little smaller than what we are used too but very tasty. Chill atmosphere and the server payed attention to our needs and was very nice and helpful in picking out food and drinks! Hurricane and Rum Punch! Ridiculous! A little more than I expected to pay for brunch but well worth it! Will be back!

Mya, our waitress, was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed during our dining experience. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the service. The food here is spot on with wonderful flavors, fresh ingredients, and lots of variety. During this visit we had a fried crab cake, the Friday special, shrimp fettuccine with a side salad, and fried chicken with a side of beans and rice. We enjoyed each dish very much and everything tasted authentic! Of course, the corn bread was delicious too. We highly recommend this restaurant if you enjoy New Orleans style food and want to have a wonderful lunch or dinner with your friends and family.

I continuously have to update this review because everything I eat here is fantastic. Don’t think it’s just seafood or soul food or country food. If it’s on Mimi’s menu it will be cooked well and served hot. Chef Ralph cooked me a Ribeye the other night that was delicious. Seriously, the seafood platter, chicken platter, pork chop platter, ALL OF IT!!!! The fries are so fresh, hot and crispy. I wanna say they are hand cut but they are so perfect I find it hard to believe but they taste hand cut. Just like grandma used to make except these are good. Crispy, not greasy. The peach Ballini’s are really good too. The service is always top notch, courteous and professional, all of them. It is a little pricey but the quality and service are there. It’s worth it.

I was in town for a few days for an event and ended up eating here 3 of the 4 days I was here. The food was incredible every time as was the service. Everything was very obviously homemade and delicious. This place absolutely deserves every ounce of success and is an absolute must-try!

Service was excellent. Meghan was a great server. All the dishes were hot, fresh and cooked well. I would definitely recommend this hidden gem. Beignets were very good. Crab and corn soup was excellent. Grilled Pork Chops with Mac and Cheese,Red Beans and Rice. Great flavors.

This is a great spot to come enjoy some real Louisiana cooking. You have to try the barbecue shrimp the sauce was amazing and they use large shrimp which was perfect. The oyster and shrimp platter was fried perfectly and the catfish was some of the best I’ve had in a restaurant in a long time.

Customer service is great they greeted us when we walked in. They also require mask like most places but they do check your temperature as well (not a bad thing). We liked the layout of the restaurant as well. Nice Jazz music playing and the bar area is nice along with clean bathrooms. The food is good but the greens are the best i have had so far. The steak was okay but this isn’t a steak house. The Margi Gras scrimp is kicking and very good. Only negative was the wait time for the food but i seen a lot of to go orders so that could of been it. And we had a few dirty appetizer plates just two one had hair and the other had food stains on food on there still (no pictures i just sat them to the side i figured they missed a good pass in the dish washer but the staff should of caught that one). And they forgot my gumbo but I called and was able to come pick them up with no issues. I am still giving 4 stars and will be back again to try more dishes out i spent a good $200 on my first visit and left a tip as well. Glad to have this new addition added to the Richmond area.

This gem is a perfect spot for authentic New Orleans food. Me and my husband decided to take a 40 minute drive to Richmond and it was definitely worth it. The food was absolutely delicious and the drinks were strong and good. The owners and staff were definitely top tier and it felt very welcoming In the establishment. We will definitely be making several more trips to Mimi’s in the near future!!!

Had a wonderful dining experience at Mimi’s New Orleans! Walked in and was greeted by Jill who sat us down and gave us a great overview of the menu based and what we told her that we liked. Jill was very friendly, personable and knowledgeable of the business and food that was offered.
The family and I wanted to sample just about everything so we ordered 2 Seafood platters with different side items to share and we topped the meal off with Spicy crawfish which didn’t last long under our watch… The entire meal was delicious and deserving of a second course but we were stuffed!!! The stuffed and loaded baked potato is a must along with the appetizer of Mimi’s Mardi Gras shrimp!! Once you slap ya Mama because of how good the meal is, just apologize and make sure she has a doggie bag to go!! The drinks and cocktails were top shelf and I have to give a Thumbs Up to the bartender for the Hennessy Margarita!!!
Don’t let this restaurant go unnoticed, make sure you check them out! You may be lucky enough to meet Chef Charles and get a culinary secret out of him, no promises but you will know where to return to satisfy your appetite! I CANNOT SAY ANYTHING UNFAVORABLE ABOUT MY VISIT, everyone made you feel at home like family and the restaurant was very clean along with being cozy enough for a date night… Go check them out, Bon Appetite!!!
P.S. Make sure you stumble out with a few Beignets… No regrets!!
