We were greeted promptly as we walked in. We were seated immediately, it being during the week and a tad bit later than normal dinner time. Service was terrific! Food was phenomenal! We couldn’t stop talking about it and comparing it to our favorite spots at home. We will definitely be back! Definitely found a new favorite!

We ordered the bowl of guacamole to go with our chips and salsa (which had a tiny kick to it but not too much and was so good!) because I seen them walk by with one and it looked amazing. And it was! It was so fresh and so delicious, it could have been a meal on it’s own lol

I ordered the chicken fajitas. They were so flavorful and chicken was still so juicy, you could tell it was freshly cut and cooked chicken. Not pre packaged, pre seasoned, slightly dry or salty. My husband ordered shredded beef nachos and they were so loaded down, not skimpy at all!

Service was excellent! Thank you!

Delicious Mexican Restaurant. This restaurant has two sides, a bar area (open seating) and a restaurant side. The bar area had TV’s and you normally find sports playing.
Food taste like authentic Mexican. Service is friendly and quick. They are children friendly. I would recommend stopping if you are thinking about it.

Great spot. Stopped here on a road trip, had the shrimp fajitas, Chile relleno and a chicken taco, all were excellent. Salsa and chips delivered to your table the moment you sit down are a great touch.

Don’t know what’s happened here since the remodel, but it’s not good. I’ve been twice since then. The umbrellas on the patio are gone, leaving it pretty much unusable. The service has been appalling. I waited 20 minutes on a slow day for a drink and when it came it was wrong. The server never came back with the drink, never took my food order, so I left. Second time my order has been wrong and service basically non existent. Chips are stale. Yuck.

The service was excellent, and the healthy tacos were very tasty. However, they did not provide us with another kind of sauce. The mole with chicken is not recommended as it lacks flavor and the chicken was grilled, not boiled.

Great Mexican food and great service!

We had the chicken and steak fajitas for two but it could easily feed 3-4. Everything came out hot and steamy.

Fajitas had a healthy amount of onions, peppers, tomatoes, and zucchini.

Sides were rice, refried beans, quacomole and pico de gallo and came on a hot plate.

I also appreciated that it came with five tortillas, so we didn’t need to ask for more.

Service was also top notch and very polite.

I had an excellent time here and would highly recommend.

One of the best I’ve ever had. We dined in the patio and it was a nice atmosphere. Everything tasted exceptional. The chips and salsa, taco, enchilada, rice, beans, and finally, churros. Our kids loved their enchilada. That was my favorite as well. Excellent value; generous portions and very fair prices. Service was pretty good. We’d definitely come again.

20 minutes AFTER ordering, the waiter said they were out of tamales. Couldn’t he have told us that when we ordered?? Then another 20 minutes later, we get our food. 40 minute wait for our food on a slow Thursday night. The shredded beef taco meat wasn’t that flavorful. Go down the street to Casa Lupita.

First off…I have been a loyal customer to Las Rocas since it opened. I grew up in Castaic. The town is very family oriented and we take pride in our town and the people that have businesses. During the pandemic, I ordered all the time. I made sure I did my part to assist with making sure all my favorite restaurants wouldn’t go under because of all the bad that was going on. When I found out from the owner that they were expanding, I was so excited and happy for them. Immediately booked a party of 16 for my husband’s 50th Birthday. We arrived and everything went great. I ran into Maria and congratulated her on the reopening. The staff was great and so helpful with the party. I bought 2 cakes and they stored them for us at no cost and even brought out plates and a knife to use when we were done singing happy Birthday. Throughout the night we ordered Margaritas, beers, food, and more. The bill came and we PAID. After the bill was returned.. my cousin was like wait.. there’s 2 extra drinks that were charged. That’s when we noticed that we were over charged for 2 additional margaritas. Now I know…2 drinks.. no big deal, but I’m a big person on principle. So, we disputed the bill with our waiter. That nice waiter at the beginning was no longer the same person. Immediately he had an attitude and became incredibly argumentative. One of our guests that is a family friend had bought me and my husband a round of drinks. She ordered and paid for them at the bar as a surprise. The bar brought them over. These two drinks were included on our bill as well but our family friend was holding the receipt and talking to the waiter in Spanish. This is where I got upset. The waiter was becoming so argumentative and talking to a woman in such a disrespectful way. I’m like.. buddy.. who are you? Don’t talk like that to a woman that is explaining to you. I told him I didn’t want to deal with him after watching that display.. so I asked for the manager. Maria walked over and I thought okay good the voice of reason has arrived. I was wrong. She immediately sided with the waiter.. not even knowing what happened. Instead she responded.. we don’t charge for margaritas that we don’t make. I told her.. check your cameras. Your waiter is saying i drank 3 margaritas and that my husband did as well.. that didn’t happen. We each had 2. And had proof. The waiter said that he counted glasses. We said you can’t count glasses.. we had others that ordered drinks from the bar and brought them over here. He again argued with our other guest all while the manager stood there. This was handled so poorly. I repeated multiple times to watch the cameras.. she didn’t. She then walked away with the bill and with our waiter. He returned with one copy of our old bill and a copy of the new bill. He said.. here.. the 2 were taken off and then threw it on the table and walked away. It was at that moment that I took the other copy of the signature part of the bill… and changed the tip and left the new amount. I was not about to keep the 25% tip I originally placed and reward that kind of behavior. So… this left such a bad taste in my mouth..I will no longer return A party of 16…14 of which are of legal drinking age and locals are no longer going to come to your restaurant and deal with that kind of behavior. We live in a day and age where you have to be on point at all times. We have bad days… all of us do.. but that doesn’t give you a pass to be poor to your patrons. A business is only as good as their worst employee. So for now… I’m backing away from being Team Las Rocas. SCV has over 100 Mexican restaurants… they are a dime a dozen…I hope that what happened to Sisley after their expansion doesn’t happen to Las Rocas. Work on your employees attitude and you as a manager need to work on that as well. The customer may not be right in every situation, but to reveal true colors over $30 dollars and lose one of your biggest supporters speaks volumes about you as a business person and your values. Be better and do better. Maybe one day we will come back.

The food was excellent. I got the seafood burrito, very large portion for the price and absolutely delicious. It was essentially a plate of sexy, cheese, carb and protein packed goodness. Be careful though, if you care about your figure you’ll need to take a chill pill for the rest of the week. I could only eat half of it myself I took the rest home for the next day. I was tearing up how good it was, that and it was so hot my sinus started running but I couldn’t wait for it to cool down. The food was ready sooner than I expected. Service was very good, the gentleman got us a refill for the salsa appetizer immediately without us even saying a word. The table was clean and the interior cozy though the lighting a bit dim. Highly recommend if you haven’t come here yet what are you doing you’re missing out get down here!
