10/10 I had the keoki wings, kalua pork, and katsu chicken. The katsu was soooo crispy and JUICY extremely well done. The wings are also amazing and the sweet sauce really set them off. The kalua pork was tender, very flavorful I could drink the sauce. Their sides are generous portions. Really a gem I would highly highly recommend.

Great Hawaiian food in Monterey! The portions are generous and everything is freshly made. I had the Teriyaki Chicken, while I was expecting it to have teriyaki sauce, it didn’t, but it was still quite good. The chicken could’ve been a little more tender, but overall, it was delicious and satisfying.

Keoki’s is one of my favorite restaurants in the Monterey area. A gem tucked away in Marina.

The kalbi fries have had me returning for years, great katsu as well. Extremely friendly staff, reasonable prices for the area.

Because there is only one register and few dine in tables, my preferred route is to call in an order ahead of time in case it gets busy.

This was our first stop for our stay in Monterey. They are only open Monday to Friday, and I was afraid it was going to be crazy busy.
Rocko was super nice and patient with me. They have a lot of items that aren’t listed on the website, so it took me a few minutes. I also wanted to order everything but had to place myself.
Inside the place is really small. Only a handful of tables. People were literally placing take-out orders and waiting for them. Looking at various decor around definitely keeps you occupied for a few minutes.
They have a lot of items for sale aside from food. They have stickers, lihing candy, statues, coconut head for your car, and so much more. Did you know this place has been around since 2012? Orders took a little long. Rocko quoted 20 minutes, but realistically, everyone waited at least 35 to 40 minutes. As impatient as people were, Rocko had a positive attitude. He told me some tips and tricks with the food. Musubi should be eaten right away. It is best to eat within the first 15 minutes.
These are a few of the items we tried:

1. Loco moco – I loved the crunch of the meat. The gravy and over medium egg was delicious. Rice was perfectly cooked. I think the Loco moco went perfectly well with the potato salad

2. Potato salad – perfect amount of tart

3. Macaroni salad – First bite tasted sweet. After a while, it grows on you. My husband liked it but I prefer potato salad.

4. Teri beef musubi – This has a lot of rice. Not a lot of meat, and it looks like they didn’t put teri sauce. It would have tasted better if there was more meat. The Rice to meat ratio was off.

5. Kalua pork musubi- This was well seasoned and flavorful.

6. Macadamia cream pie – Delicious, pie was creamy with crunchy macadamias. Surprisingly, this was my favorite out of the two.

7. Rocky road cream pie – Smooth and not too sweet.

I can’t wait to come back soon. My recommendation is probably to order over the phone so you don’t have to wait so long.

Recommended this place to a friend because it was good…a long time ago. Totally embarrassed that I did. Rice was hard, katsu overcooked and chewy. No potato salad just gross macaroni. My Hawaiian friend was completely unimpressed and felt wasted his money. Staff is strange… place went down. Go to Salinas for Hawaiian BBQ. Don’t waste your money… negative atmosphere.

Must try! This place is so good! Rocko was very pleasant, patient & informative. I got teriyaki chicken, a short rib, white rice & Mac salad. Decent Mac salad can taste pretty plain to me but there’s is flavorful. All the meat was cooked to perfection. I got the rib medium well & the chicken well done. The short rib was $7 each but man if it wasn’t worth it! It took awhile & the store is not designed for indoor dining but it’s a must try!

Decent food…but not great. Portion sizes good, but for the cost…it should be. Service, ridiculously friendly, but very slow. Which…considering it’s apparently 1 guy cooking and another taking care of the front and everything else (he’s the friendly part) it’s to be expected they’d be slow. Granted…I went just after 1:30 and they were very busy…took me around 45-50 mins for what I was told would be 20-25 mins. As for the food…the Hawaiian Macaroni was a bit bland…and the Katsu chicken, dried out, though the panko breading was perfectly fried crispy…but the chicken was near to jerky…thank goodness for the katsu sauce! Now the Loco Moco was decent, gravy good, patty not over cooked…so I might go back for that. I also had a slice of banana cream pie…very decent! Judging from the how busy they were…I need to go back…and want to try the Kalua pork… So…more to follow…

Awesome food and friendly service. The loco moco fries are my favorite. We like ordering from here and taking the food over to Otters Den to eat while watching the game with some drinks.

The food is fresh and tasty . The cashier was nice and patient. But it took at least 20+ minutes until our food was ready . So our lunch was cut short . I would try it again to see if the wait time was a fluke because the food was good. I enjoyed the items except for the teriyaki beef. The Loco Moco was good, they cook the egg to your liking.
