I was driving through here on the way to Denver and was so happy I stopped!

This cute little restaurant was such a pleasure to stop in. From the beautiful wall art, to the nice waitress.. the start of this restaurant experience was awesome!

I sat down and ordered a breakfast dish with a taco and loved all my food! The rice, the flavors and even the single taco all tasted amazing and authentic!

I would definitely come back if I was passing through!

Las Hefas is really good. I had the Ropa Vieja and loved it and my daughter had sizzling fajitas. Super clean on the inside and very spacious and they can accommodate really big groups in a dinner setting. The parking is curbside. I definitely would come here again!

Edit: I came back and tried the Sopes. THAT WAS REALLY GOOD. If you love Tamarind, the tamarind drink is a MUST. Their tacos are good too and i cant get enough of the rice! Added more photos.

Run, dont walk! This place is top-notch! Excellent food and atmosphere is so incredible; order the Horchata and Fajitas!! The owner even came by our table and checked in on us…very personable. But what made the experience over-the-top was our waitress, Braelyn. She was SO attentive, efficient, and friendly. A kid from another table came running up to her to show her his drawing…she goes the extra mile with every customer. Definitely request her when you go! Las Hefas is a must when you are in Hays! Please open one in Denver, CO! Will definitely be back!

I love the fajitas here! The ingredients are so fresh and clean. I can eat my whole meal and never feel sick. The service is always amazing and quick while still giving you a great experience. They have a ton of cool events like barrel launches and liquor tastings that give the atmosphere of being in a big city! Can’t wait to try out some more things! 10/10 would recommend!

OMG! The guacamole!!!! And fried ice cream!!! DELICIOUS. We tried Roja Vieja and Arepas. Both were very good. Service was great! Our server Jaden was wonderful! I definitely recommend getting off the highway for this food stop!!!

This place is a true gem for authentic Latin cuisine! From the moment we walked in, the service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The staff made us feel right at home and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect.
The food was absolutely incredible—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Every dish had that authentic taste that transports you straight to Latin America. The portions were generous, the presentation was beautiful, and every bite was delicious.
If you’re looking for amazing Latin food paired with exceptional service, this is definitely the spot. You’ll have an extra bonus if you’re lucky enough to have Kiley as your waitress. I’ll absolutely be coming back and recommending it to friends and family!

We stopped on our way from Kansas City to Denver, and it was so good that we stopped here again on our way back. Everything was absolutely delicious. We loved getting to travel around Latin America in one stop. We tried the enchiladas, the pupusas and the arepas. The fresh corn tortillas were delicious! So was the street corn and the fried plantains. Friendly family owned vibe with high standards.

Las hefas catered our open house for Agiliti and hays med and they did amazing! The food and service were on top of it!!

We go in every time we are in town for work and Kaighlee and Israel know us by name. Hands down would recommend to anyone nearby or passing through!
