Was here to celebrate a special day and the vibe we expected was present. Outdoor lakeview patio with cozy lighting and they were cool with our tiny dog. Great service, both waitresses service our group were awesome. Available, informative and positive. They also provided good portions of complimentary. Decent collection of drinks. Would recommend Gyro platter and shrimp appetizer.

I recently decided to treat myself to a nice Valentines Day dinner at Prime 7 in Commerce….I’d been there several times before in 2025 before the sad incident just before Thanksgiving 2025. I really liked this place and especially loved the entertainment they had last yr, specifically a Billy Joel Tribute band and Bob Seger Tribute band…both of which were AWESOME !…unfortunately, when I posed the question as to whether any of these bands or others are planned in 2026, I was told there are none.
As much as I truely want to patronize this nice place, I have to say the food this past wkend was without question the WORST I had ever had at any restaurant, let alone this one. Decided to order the $30 Prime Rib meal…which was SO not what I expected…sadly ! The Prime Rib looked and tasted like a wafer thin “steak-um”…full of fat and grizzle….couldn’t even cut it with a sharp knife….utterly terrible. Paired with an enemically small, naked baked potato, and equally tiny bowl of soup of the day beef-potato. Thank God for the huge pile of green string beans….because you know how much we love our green veggies ! The saddest part was that I ordered this Prime Rib dinner off their Valentines Day “specials” separate menu….I fully expected at least what Outback restaurants would have provided. I’d love to see the rest of the Prime Rib this was cut from…you couldn’t cut a piece this thin.
My only regret is that I should have just sent it back rather than forcing myself to eat it.
I’d really like this nice neighborhood bar/grill to prosper but after this experience will be hard pressed to return. The server was very kind and attentive however it seemed she was a little anxious to have me cash out and leave with the number of return trips to ask if there was anything else I needed.
Plus, I was informed they were not doing the live bands there any longer which also is disappointing as this brings in customers.
In the end, the best advice is to not think twice about sending something back if your expectations are not met. I hope Prime 7 is able to make some much needed food quality improvements .

Food is good with lunch specials that include an alcoholic beverage for under $15! I had a cheeseburger that was cooked to order medium rare very nicely. View of the lake from patio seating is great, although there can be a lot of road noise.

GREAT local spot – sports bar and restaurant, dining area for larger groups and private rooms as well, with a cozy feel and warm wooden lodge decor inside. Love the atmosphere.

The service and food is excellent – friendly servers, A+ meal offerings (comfort foods, classic dishes, and lighter options as well), solid presentation, I’m always happy after I leave Prime 7.

The patio and view from the front of the restaurant overlooks Cooley Lake. The staff and management are genuinely welcoming and friendly, and it’s clear they have a good crew that gets on well as a team.

Thanks for the delicious meal, kind service, and pleasant atmosphere. Looking forward to coming back with friends for Karaoke on a Tuesday, and watching the Lions inevitably win the Superbowl soon

Such a cool place to stop and eat, right across the road with great views of Cooley lake! The patio is clean and spacious and the inside too! Large dining area and bar!

Food was great we got the Saganki and the gyro platter. It was enough for two! We also got a side salad and fries, and the fries were delicious!!

MariAnn was our server. She was really good, attentive and hustled!!

For drinks we got the purple rain, and prince would be happy! As well as a martini! Very good!

Recommended!

Say hi to Franco, the new general manager, a real nice guy!

I reviewed this little U.P. north cabin-feeling restaurant a few weeks ago. Enjoyed the vibe and the food so much I went back today for something different. Now I don’t know which of the two meals I liked better. The Greek Wrap or the Chicken Cajun Pasta.

Highly recommend Prime 7!

I was so excited to try Prime 7. My husband and I have been looking for a close local place that has good food and a fun local vibe! Well Prime 7 has a great vibe , AMAZING service , and location but their food was mediocre at best. Mary was our server. She was sweet and very attentive. The food was a lot to be desired. Their clan chowder tasted odd. It’s like it was reheated from last week’s batch which was frozen. The texture was curdled looking bummed me out because I was super thick and hot like I LOVE soup to be. Their Friday night fish and chips were beautiful looking and bland. The fries were EXCEPTIONAL! The fish left a lot to be desired. My husband had the seafood totallini which he liked. He also had the calamari. It tasted like what I’d imagine deep fried rubber bands to taste like. Great location and service. Medicore and sub standard food.

Great atmosphere, view, and location.
Prime 7 has the feel of being Up North from the log cabin feel decor to wall length window overlooking Cooley Lake. Staff and owner are so welcoming (just the way you’d feel Up North).
Aside from the spectacular views inside and out, it is a great place to catch any sort of sporting event on their many tvs (it was fun watching Kentucky Derby with everyone there), as well as live entertainment on a Saturday evening.
Their menu has great options, and everything coming out of the kitchen looks great (personally recommend chicken stir fry).
I perform throughout Michigan, so I have the benefit of experiencing different places, and I couldn’t speak highly enough of Prime 7.

Had the opportunity to stop into Prime 7 Bar & Restaurant for a photoshoot. Owner Francesk was cordial, pleasant to speak with, and ensured that all his dishes looked fantastic! Server Lorrie was also very kind and focused on making sure guest needs were taken care of.

If you are around in the Commerce area by Cooley Lake, stop in and give this restaurant a shot!

The drinks and food took way too long to come out. We were told they were short staffed. Which I can over look. However, the food wasn’t great. The chicken on my salad was dry and seemed old, the pita was hard. There just wasn’t anything special enough about this place to bring me back.
