Very clean place. Very professional. Good southern food like it should. All gluten free. Including mac&cheese, the pies, bread. The brisket was tender and tasty. Other reviewers commented about wait time and server issues. We had no problems. Wish we took pics of food. Next time.

This was hands down the worst restaurant experience we have ever had. it took an hour and 30 minutes to get our food. while we were waiting, we got to hear the cook yell at the server for things that really didnt matter. table numbers don’t matter when everyone else left and you have 2 tables left. It took an hour for them to tell us that they were out of corned beef. Then the server gave my CHILDREN time to pick another meal. the cook yelled at her for waiting. we got our food to go, because we do actually have lives. when we finally got our food, the hushpuppies were burnt. the fries were burnt but raw in the middle. the mac and cheese was over cooked. the gravy was flavorless cornstarch slurry with lumps. the okra had no salt. the brisket was good in places but overall dry. I have been gf for over a decade. I would spend my last dollar to support a gf business. I will never set foot in this building again. The abuse hurled at the server alone was enough to ruin the experience.

I enjoyed the thick slices of smoked turkey breast served over mashed potatoes with gravy for lunch. It was fresh, tasty, and melted in my mouth. Everything on the menu in gluten-free. For dessert, we had banana pudding with gluten-free vanilla wafers. The owner served us, and service was prompt and friendly. This is a small locally owned restaurant, and meals are prepared to order, which takes a little longer. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed. Meats are smoked on the premises. Prices are reasonable. I enjoyed my meal and plan to visit again.

LOVE IT! My son and I are currently here for our second meal in two days! We are typically not the type to eat out a lot and our choices for gluten-free items are usually limited. We came here on Friday night and had a great dinner! My son was able to eat a hamburger (with the bun) and french fries and I had ribs 🙂 Both were great! Also, we had gf mozzarella sticks – this was the first time my son has ever been able to eat mozzarella sticks since they typically contain gluten. The service was spectacular, the chef even came out to check how our meal was before we left. We came back today around 9:45am and there is a good amount of people in here, but not packed. We ordered French toast,pancakes, sausage, and a biscuit…. and it is all wonderful!!! The prices are reasonable, too. The restaurant is a little small and it’s in a shopping center with little else going on, but the food and the service overcome this. This place will exceed your expectations! Oh, and keep mind, I’ve driven 30 minutes each way here… twice in the last two days… 🙂

I just finished lunch here. I hadn’t heard of this place but I’ll be back for sure. I ordered the smoked brisket and it was l the most tender brisket I’ve had and the Mac and cheese was also delicious. I also had the fried pickles and they were the best I’ve had in Virginia.
I would highly recommend C and D’s Kuntry Kitchen. The prices are very good and the food was amazing.

I grew up eating country cooking, so when I was diagnosed with Celiacs disease I thought I’d never really be able to eat it again. Until I found C and D’s! Everything I’ve had here is amazing! I’ve had the fried chicken, country fried steaks, biscuits and gravy, and the bbq and it’s all been delicious. It’s all prepared fresh and their servings are so generous I always leave stuffed. On top of that, the owners are sweet and friendly. Its become a go to spot for me! If you’re into good home style county cooking, definitely give this place a try!

My family and I went to restaurant on Sunday afternoon I took over a hour to get our food. We had a large party but it took over 30 minutes for the whole party to get their meal.it was the worst experience I have ever had in my life at a restaurant. I myself got sausage gravy and it had no flavor at all. My mother ordered the chicken livers and she got hers last. She was gonna take hers home and finish cooking them. The server was new. Not her fault. The cooks were fussing with her and we could hear them asking if we were going no to walk out and not pay. Really how unprofessional is that. Half of what we ordered they were out of. Had to ask for refills on drinks. Wait staff was leaving and left new girl to fend for herself with a large party should have been 2 for our table. Not impressed with c and d Kuntry Kitchen. Will not be back. No stars at all but think you have to give 1 to post.

The food was very good – got right out of the kitchen. family loved the French fries and cheeseburger. Kids hot dog has the best hot dog bun I have seen. Coleslaw was perfect and okra was really good.

My friend and I were looking forward to lunch here today. And we were sadly disappointed. The menu looked very promising, it had choices most places don’t. My friend ordered the country fried steak with mac&cheese and collard greens. The steak was over cooked. The mac&cheese was greasy and dried out. The collard greens were dry and tough. I ordered the chicken livers with fried okra and fries. The livers and okra were over cooked and tasted burnt and/or the oil was old. The fries were okay. The best part of the meal was the iced tea. We both felt nauseous a short time after leaving and after getting home she actually threw up. The women behind us had similar complaints about their food. Also our waitress did not come back after serving us our meals. We had to ask another waitress for our check. And she didn’t even bother to ask why most of our food was still on our plates. We went there with high expectations. Oh and on a side note…..train your staff not to argue in a kitchen where you can be seen and heard. Good luck. You’re going to need it.

We had a great time there today, Sunday, for lunch! We did a bit of a tour of the menu. Smoked bologna sandwich, smoked brisket sandwich, chili, shush puppies (definitely get these), Mac & cheese, fried okra, greens, and more. It was all great! We are certainly going to be repeat customers.
