The triple omelette was pretty satisfying, and my wife enjoyed the chicken and waffles, though not the best she’s had. The waitress was great, and the food came very quickly. All in all, the breakfast experience was good. The restaurant was clean and pretty empty, good music playing and a decent atmosphere.

Huge portions. Friendly staff. Eggs are cooked perfectly, light and fluffy and not even slightly browned. We will return. They have a buffet on the weekends. All you can eat salad bar during the week, you can chose 2 or 3 meats, or add the all you can eat salad bar to your meal for $7.49.

25 Jun ‘24 2:45 The blonde lady at the counter counting money took my to go order. Tipped her $2.60 too. I straight up ask her what pieces of chicken you get if you order white meat smothered in gravy and she said breast and wing. Well what I got was all wing pieces with something red on them (seasoning?) and runny thin gravy poured over, most definitely was not cooked in a good gravy. Nasty! The chicken tasted awful. Garbage! Shame on you Sunrise. Customers should always get what they pay for. Sadly your dishonesty is typical of most businesses these days. AND since I’m on a roll, this place is dirty! Dirty windows, dirty doors, dirty floors, dirty bathroom.

I braved a salad and it was surprisingly fresh and colorful. Didn’t care for the giant pieces of raw onion and mushrooms had not been washed- easy enough to pick those out. We really enjoyed the grits and hash browns too. Eggs were standard for a diner. Bacon was our biggest disappointment. It was thin and chewy. Service could’ve been way more attentive and friendly!

Honest review:
Main lobby was clean, the place in the back could use a little work. Let’s be honest though long as roaches wasn’t running rampant I’d probably still eat here.
Food was extremely fast, everything I had was good, tea was good.
All in all it’s a great little hole in the wall for country cooking.
They do have a soup and salad buffet too.
My waitress was very good.

Really, really good experience. I ordered the Big Breakfast and struggled to finish it, and it was pretty affordable too. The food was tasty, the portions were large, and the servers were all really kind. I got to engage with the owner and two servers, and even the cooks in the back made eye contact to make sure I was doing okay. Definitely will be returning.
