Perfect for a romantic dinner (it was like you had The warm flow of a candlelight but there wasn’t any candles) or just a night (We went for a birthday dinner ). They have an open kitchen that you can watch or sit around the corner and enjoy. Large window to see outside. Great selection of food. The calamari was outstanding (cooked to perfection) and the rack of lamb superb! The dessert presentation was beautiful and they explained each one to you. They make you feel important and your water glass is always full. I will be returning.

A dinner to be sought after if you find yourself in a fine-dining mood.
Scott Fraser has created a wonderful space in Oak Harbor for a meal. The open kitchen, the atmosphere, and the menu, mesh together like clockwork. There are very few establishments that come close to what’s offered here.
The cooks are on point. The hostesses are kind and attentive. The food is exceptional. My only gripe would be that a lot of their sides are pickled. Other than that it’s a grand place to eat with your lady. Cheers!

Items of note on the menu:
Beef Tenderloin
Rack of lamb

Wine that should be in constant supply, please:
Col Solare Cabernet

Food was amazing, service was bad. I ordered medium rare, it came out like black and blue. Easy fix, I would have just asked for it to be cooked up to temp, but our server just did not come back to our table. This entire evening she barely came to our table and we watched her to up to the expo line and sit there for minutes at a time just talking to whoever else was up there. When she dropped off my steak I immediately cut into it and it wasn’t right, I stopped eating and then tried to get her attention. She would not even glance our direction. Since she took a very long time getting back to our table, everyone else was already done with their food. I just asked for it to be taken off the bill since I didn’t eat any of it. Mind you, she took 20-25 minutes to even look at our table. She had a serious attitude, never expressed any concern or apologies. This is an expensive restaurant, i won’t be coming back as I don’t think it’s worth the price point if the service won’t match it. The food really was great though. Would have loved to eat that steak

Noisy lots of open kitchen noise dishes clanging, no carpet.
Boneless beef short ribs.
Tasted like slow cooked roast beef.
Great service
Very expensive

Phew that was a delicious treat. Don’t miss out on the penn cove mussels. My wife enjoyed a black cod sablefish in risotto and miso. I wowed by the duck home pasta. Personally I’d tune the salt down a bit. Loved it overall.

This place is amazing! My husband took me here for my birthday dinner; we just moved to the island 6 months ago, so we are still finding all the hidden gems – this is definitely one of them!
Every dish was delicious and perfectly portioned. The garlic and brie fondue was so so so good, we would go back just for that! Reservations are recommended, but it was pretty quiet earlier in the evening on a Wednesday (before summer season – not sure how busy it gets with tourists). We had a 5pm reservation and it was starting to get a bit busier by the time we left.
We had:
Garlic and Brie Fondue
Dry Garlic Baby Back Ribs (the blackberry mustard sauce was something else!)
Homemade Sourdough with House-made Red Pepper Hummus (my husband doesn’t usually like hummus, but he liked this)
Rack of Lamb (cooked perfectly medium rare)
Duck Breast (homemade pasta and the Marsala sauce were amazing)
Flourless Chocolate Cake (airy and fudgey at the same time – I had to get a tiny to go box for half of the cake because we were stuffed!)

Been twice now after moving to Oak Harbor, both meals have been excellent! Perfect texture Pate’, perfect curry mussels, & many more (the Tartare). Didn’t take pics until dessert. Here ya go

Food was 5 star all the way.
Taste delicious and beautifully presented. The seafood chowder was full of seafood and probably one of the best I’ve ever had.
Service was acceptable however our server could have used some training on her wines. At this level a server should be able to suggest a wine pairing when customers are unfamiliar with the list. Especially when many of the wines are sold by the bottle. As it was the wine we chose was delicious.

I rarely review place on the first visit. But this was fantastic and I’m not sure when I’ll be back. The garlic crusted short ribs were amazing, I might get two orders of those for an entree my next visit. I would absolutely get the rack of lamb again. My friend got the special that had lobster tail and scallops I would probably get that if they had it again next time.

I have traveled all over the world, so how lucky am I that my absolute favorite restaurant is on the island I live on?!

Every dish is both beautiful and delicious!

I love the open kitchen concept so you can actually see the chefs preparing your meal!

My favorite is the rack of lamb, but I have had almost everything on the menu and it is ALL amazing!

Treat yourself to the fondue as a starter and most definitely save room for dessert!

I also highly recommend ordering whatever they have as a “special”.

It’s definitely the nicest restaurant on the island and surrounding areas!
