This is a coffee house so I expected the coffee to be good… The coffee was great. The staff was also very engaging and adorable. It sat on the corner of busy El Cajon Blvd. so it’s fun to people watch if you sit outside.

The pastries are fantastic and they offer a decent variety. Plus they have beer and wine so you can spoil yourself with any day of the week mimosas.

I haven’t tried the sandwiches, but they do offer a lunch selection as well. Very convenient and accessible parking around the building. I will definitely return for another cup of Joe.

l’un de nos cafés préférés!
One of our Favs!

The staff is friendly and attentive, delicious treats, sandwiches and blended drinks. This is truly a gem for the neighborhood, and has been are go to spot for drinks, panini sandwiches or just hang out with friends and family over some hot tea. Great spot and really feels like you are in France especially with the live bands during the Walkabout events.

merci beaucoup

The ambience of the restaurant is so cute and cozy. We came in as a group of 5 and we were able to find seating outside. It’s a relaxing place to come out and have some late brunch with friends, family and your furry babies!

The food was great. The Nutella crepes were very sweet! If you have a sweet tooth this is definitely the best plate for you. The ham and cheese croissant was just enough to fill my tummy. The smoked salmon plate was great with the Greek yogurt.

Service was good. We were helped right away and the servers were very sweet.

The negative star was for the French Spritzer since it wasn’t the best.

Café Madeleine is my go-to for a delicious and satisfying breakfast! I ordered a huge latte, and it was smooth, rich, and perfectly made—exactly what I needed to start my day. The croissant breakfast sandwich was just as amazing—flaky, buttery, and stuffed with fresh ingredients. Every bite was perfection! The cozy Parisian vibe, friendly service, and relaxed atmosphere make this spot a true gem in South Park. It does not matter if you’re stopping by for a quick bite or lingering over coffee, this café never disappoints. Highly recommend!

We stopped here because we were in the area and I don’t think I’ve ever tried a “French Restaurant”.
The atmosphere is very nice, very France inspired of course. The outdoor seating was limited but decent. Pretty much tucked to the side of the building on the sidewalk and in front, but dog friendly.
My Nutella crepe was great but I should have gotten bananas in it. Now that I’m writing this I’m really beating myself up over those bananas.
My wife got a Tomato Mozzarella Panini and LOVED it. She just kept talking about this stupid panini the entire trip… I couldn’t even go an hour without her bringing it up.
Anyway, the service was excellent and I will definitely be coming back here. If I didn’t my wife would kill me.

Breakfast with my family before the Zoo and it was so good! Legit French aesthetic and great food and coffee to match. Lovely spot and the window seats were perfect for our family to get cozy and enjoy our time here.

The quiche was the moist moist delicious I’ve ever had! My daughter and I shared two breakfasts. The potatoes were seasoned and cooked perfectly. Really, really good bacon too. The atmosphere makes you feel so at home. Love the mint/lemon water.
What a treat this was!!

Now amongst my favorite coffee shops in San Diego — I like their aesthetics, layout, coffee options. I also thought the raspberry tart was exceptionally made. I went twice in the same week I discovered it and highly recommend!
