Good chewy biang biang noodles with good veggies in very tasty broths and sauces. As a spicy food lover I found the “Extra Spicy” option to be delicious and satisfyingly spicy without being over there top spicy. The shaved potato side was also delicious.

Great spot to co.e either by yourself or with a couple of friends. Highly recommend the Lamb cumin pulled noodles. The noodles have just the right amount chew and are seasoned perfectly. Try mid spice level is you’re unsure of your tolerance. The skewers are also a.must have!!!

This is some of the best Chinese food I’ve ever had. The hand pulled noodles are so incredibly good. The noodles are very long, and you’re going to slurp, so don’t wear your best shirt 🙂 we ordered everything extra spicy.

The pork soup had a decent amount of meat. You can order extra meat in all the soups. Rather than extra meat, I ordered the lamb skewers. The lamb was cooked perfectly. I ate one skewer and put the other in my soup.

We also got the veg soup and cold noodles which were delicious.

The restaurant itself is pretty simple, nothing fancy. If you are here, you’re here for the food. Walk up to the counter or self order from kiosks. It could use a fresh coat of paint and a deep clean (the details like vents and window sills), but it was not dirty. Bathroom’s were functional and clean.

If you are ever in the area it would be a mistake not to try it.

highly recommend their lamb and cumin thick noodles! this restaurant is all self service (kiosk ordering) and their selection is not the largest, but their wide noodle soups are all delicious. Great prices too! Free street parking on the street or lot nearby. Short wait and positive experience overall.

The service was quick and the food was spicy and delicious. When I come back next time, I will opt for the “half-spicy” option. The lamb noodle soup was yummy. The lamb was quite a lot and soft and tender. The star was the hand pulled thick noodles. That was a first for me and it was unique and yummy especially with dipped in some extra Hot chilli oil ($1 extra). The soup broth was just a little too spicy for me. I also got a lamb skewer as a side but it was just OK for me. Definitely worth checking out. If you are paying by credit card, you have to order on the iPad at the counter.

I will be dreaming about this food until I go there again. Insanely wonderful. A no fuss joint, food is inexpensive and comes out fast. We are strict vegetarians, and they confirmed the vegetarian dishes have no fish sauce, etc and that they just use soy sauce. Awesome. I ordered the vegetarian hand pulled noodles, half (medium) spice level. Also ordered my two little kiddos a vegetarian hand pulled noodle, no spice, to split. Noodles came out piping hot and topped with an aromatic mound of minced garlic and scattered cilantro. Chewy, sticky, thick, wavy noodles soaked up the vinegary, oily, ridiculously flavorful sauce. Mine had a chili sauce over the noodles, with a peppery red powder that tasted like it had been baking in a clay pot, somehow I tasted a little cinnamon. Not like any hot sauce I’ve ever had, in the best way. My kids ate every bite of their noodles, one tipping the bowl backwards to scoop up every bite. The other kiddo said it was one of the best things they’ve ever had. This place is not to be missed. This is travelling across the desert level food. Get the hand pulled noodles! Eat there– can’t imagine the noodles would be nearly as good if luke warm and all stuck together. Thank you, Gene’s!

Gene’s handpulled noodles are truly something special. Garlicky, greasy, with the perfect texture, aroma, and flavor. I used to get lunch at their Boston location when I worked nearby, and have missed them. Happened to be nearby for some errands and popped in to enjoy them once again. The #4 garlic hand pulled noodles really are a treasure!

great hand pulled noodles as usual. i hadn’t been there since the pandemic so i was surprised to discover that they have tablets set up for ordering in lieu of having to speak to anyone. gotta say that the tablets not only made credit card purchases possible (they were cash-only before) but it made the ordering so much easier and no doubt improved the accuracy of order fulfillment. as a bonus, it surfaced some options (like extra noodles!) i wasn’t aware of before.

Showed up 40 minutes before close. Was told I could eat in but had to “be fast”. A full half an hour before they were closing and before I had even gotten my food the counter person started putting all the chairs up making me very uncomfortable. Five minutes after I got my food (20 minutes before closing) she asked me if I could hurry up.

Unbelievably rude. Which would be okay if the food was good. But it wasnt. A small plate of noodles that were barely cooked. Luke warm burger.

Really disappointed

Worst experience ever!! Everything was so wrong about this place.
1. POOR HOSPITALITY: The cafe closes at 8pm, where we’re being told after ordering that the dining area closes at 730pm. We placed our order around 720pm, dining in, and being kicked out at around 745pm!! We were rushing to finish the bowl and guarantee will be out by 8pm, but the server was just keep starring at us by our table. We just wasted the rest of the food and get out at that point.

2. MEDIOCRE FOOD: The noodle bowl is oily and salty, nothing special other than super unhealthy. The tea egg is fridge cold!!!! All food was served in disposable plastic containers even for dine in. No water provided, you have to buy bottled water/beverages.

3. UNPLEASANT ATMOSPHERE: The floor is sticky (which is a bad sign), table was not wiped down. You will be charged 99c for ordering from their self-serving kiosk, or pay in cash if ordering with the server. It’s not about the charges, it just show how much they care about their customers.

We just moved to the area and were recommended by our neighbor about this place.
Now our neighbor felt so sorry about our experience. We were just glad that we didn’t feel sick after the food since this place cares that ‘much’ about their customers.

We are small business owner that happily support other small businesses but NEVER this place again!! Good luck eating here.
