Good, quick service. Food was excellant at a reasonable price. We were seated right under a speaker so the music was a bit loud for our old ears. Not a deal breaker at all. We will be back.

We went as a group for lunch. There was no wait to be seated at all which for a Sunday afternoon during lunch hour, was a pleasant surprise. We snacked on the fresh chips and salsa while we waited for our order. The shrimp quesadilla was a hit, the combination 15 with taco, beans and rice and burrito was good. The chicken and steak burrito was a bit dry but good. The enchiladas was good and the guacamole was fresh.

If you’re looking for authentic Mexican food in a fantastic atmosphere. Classical mariachi and Spanish music playing while comfortably seated in Mexican tiled floor aviance. So if you’re hungry for Mexican food and you’re in Shenandoah, Iowa there is no better place to get real Mexican food. They treat you like family quick clean restaurant. I dined at this restaurant on 02/01/22 at approximately 15:30. It appeared as if we were the only ones dining at that time. Not typically a good sign, but I wanted to keep an open mind. We were seated right away and chips and salsa were right behind us. Our drink orders were taken and we were given a few minutes to look over the menu.
When our waiter, Ernesto, returned he took our order. I ordered a fajita with steak, shrimp, chicken and chorizo. This caught me eye because it’s not common to find a fajita plate with so much variety. The individual I was dining with opted for a plate that came with a burrito, taco and enchilada. Our food came out VERY quickly. So fast that it was actually alarming.
My fajita plate was not sizzling as a fajita plate should be. However, it was hot and did look like there were plenty of ingredients included. Unfortunately, looks can be deceiving. The flavor was absolutely nonexistent. I’m pretty sure I could have done a better job myself. And I am NOT a good cook.
My partner’s dish was much of the same. No flavor at all. This not only was disappointing, but made me feel as though I wasted my money. I do not feel as though I will be dining here again.
As far as the atmosphere is concerned, it’s right on par with the food. This whole restaurant is as bland as cardboard. Our waiter seemed to be preoccupied with staring about the window instead of tending to us. In all honesty, the cleanliness of this restaurant is the only thing that earned it 1 star. Had it not been clean, I would have to find out how to give a negative rating.
Overall, I feel as thought you would have a much more authentic and pleasurable Mexican dining experience at your local Taco Bell. Do not waste your time with this joke of an establishment.
