I found myself in Fort Worth and decided to stop at Lone Star Brunch & Breakfast for a quick bite. The overall vibe is relaxed, family-friendly, and welcoming, and our server Kim absolutely made the experience better than expected. She kept the coffee fresh, checked on us often, and genuinely took pride in making sure everyone was taken care of.

I ordered the chicken and waffles, and while the portion was huge and definitely Instagram-worthy, the flavor was just okay. Nothing bad, but nothing I would write home about either. My brother-in-law had the Tex Mex skillet, and he really enjoyed it. He said it was hearty, flavorful, and a good value for the price.

What really stood out were Kim’s thoughtful little touches. She labeled my to-go box with exactly what was inside so I would not have to guess later when pulling it out of the fridge. It is small things like that that show she goes the extra mile to make the experience better than your average diner.

I was also able to nurse my baby at the table with no issue, which made me appreciate how comfortable and family-friendly the atmosphere is. The bathroom was not the freshest, but it was a busy morning and there was a group of regulars meeting for their breakfast club, so I get how that happens. They had a donation box for school supplies for kids which shows they care about their community.

This is not an upscale, trendy brunch spot, but it delivers on what it promises. You get a fair, hearty breakfast at a fair price with genuinely kind service. Kim was the highlight of our visit and is the reason I would come back.

My family and I are regulars here. I often come here to eat breakfast myself. I love the atmosphere cozy and relaxed. The team members are very friendly, welcoming and sweet. The food is always good. I love eating breakfast here. Bacon veggie omelette banana Nutella pancakes are pretty amazing! I highly recommend trying out. Thank you for doing such a great job everyone!

The service was just great, came from across the street after parking my semi truck. By pure chance I saw the sign and decide to give it a try. My gosh, what a pleasant surprise, ordered eggs Benedict and they came with avocado, tomato, cilantro and beautifully cooked hasbrowns.
I haven’t have a breakfast this good in many years on the road. Place was clean and the employees were just super friendly and kind. Just come and try, I know I will come every time I drop a load in the area.

It was very clear that our server did not want to wait on us, I won’t post her name but it started with a “K” and ended with a “Y”. She had one table in our area on Saturday and could not handle it, other wait staff were kind enough to help bring missing silverware, food items and check back, our waitress was MIA. The food was okay, coffee drinks too sweet with flavoring and missing the espresso, stick with the black coffee to avoid disappointment. The atmosphere was clean and well decorated. It’s amazing how one staff person can bring a business environment down.

This place is great! I tried the biscuits and gravy omelette which was massive, creative, and delicious! My wife had the pancakes which are a great deal as well. Haley also gave our table amazing service! We will definitely be back.

This was my wife and I, first time at Lone Star Brunch, and it absolutely won me over. The aesthetic is beautiful warm, stylish, and the kind of place you instantly feel good walking into. The music set the perfect vibe too.

Our server, Robert, was excellent. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely made the experience feel special.

The food was cooked to perfection and surprisingly reasonably priced for how high-quality everything was. And the best part? The coffee. Hands down some of the best I’ve had in a long time rich, smooth, and the perfect finish to an amazing meal.

Stopped here for breakfast before heading out of town. Ordered pancakes, eggs, and bacon. Typically you can’t go wrong with breakfast but this was just barely okay. The pancakes seemed salty (which could be the dollop of butter they put on top, if it’s not unsalted), eggs seemed small in portion, and the two strips of bacon were pretty hard – like extra extra crispy type of hard. I didn’t finish my meal. I’m sure I would not revisit.

I dined alone, hostess was not at the front but greeted me from where she was. I was sat immediately. Within seconds my server got my drink ordered. Got my coffee right after that. She answered my questions and I opted for the “for mom” with upgraded pancakes (banana Nutella) and an extra side of hash browns. Upgrade charge was very reasonable. Were the pancakes the best I’ve ever had? No, but they were solid. I think their pancakes would be great as a tres leches pancake (menu suggestion, perhaps?) Hash browns were crispy on the outside, soft of the inside, far cry from the hay that other places serve up. Sausage links were juicy. Eggs were not overcooked at all. Absolutely loved the old school glass ketchup bottles. Bathrooms were very clean and ladies room had complimentary sanitary items which is a completely underrated and highly appreciated touch. All in all, absolutely would dine here again.

Great food. Great atmosphere. Excellent service. But, wont be returning. 4% credit card fee. Nothing upsets the consumer more than added fees. Such a negative connotation. Cashless society unintended consequence is businesses costs are increased. That’s the price of doing business these days. If you REALLY want to pass the cost along to the consumer without driving away business, you’ll need to increase prices by the 4% then offer a DISCOUNT for cash customers. Same result from a revenue perspective, zero negative connotation on additional fees and cash customers FEEL like they are getting a deal. Win-Win. Trying not to complain without offering a solution. Good luck to your business. I live 3 mikes away. Let me know if you figure out a way to abolish this added fee.
