Vibrant Ethiopian eatery serving traditional dishes with injera bread, including vegetarian options.

Had an excellent experience at this restaurant ✨. The food was incredibly flavorful and beautifully presented ️, with each dish tasting as amazing as it looked…. it’s so fresh you could almost smell the goodness before it arrived
The service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming . The atmosphere blended cozy comfort with stylish charm perfectly ✨. A truly standout dining experience.
Highly recommend! ⭐️

Leesac Ethiopian Restaurant on Fenton Street in downtown Silver Spring serves up authentic and flavorful Ethiopian cuisine that I really enjoy. The food is consistently good, and many of the waitstaff are friendly and attentive. However, the cleanliness and seating arrangements could use a bit more attention, and the manager or owner who’s often around isn’t particularly welcoming. Despite that, the overall atmosphere is pleasant, and it’s a nice spot to enjoy a good Ethiopian meal.

I’m giving this restaurant one star because of a very disappointing experience. I went based on a recommendation and ordered a combination meal that looked good at first — but once I got home and tried it, I couldn’t even eat one full bite. The meat tasted old, was extremely tough, and completely inedible. I only managed a few bites before I had to throw the entire meal in the trash. Not only was it a waste of money, but it also left me with an upset stomach. When I called the restaurant to explain, they refused to offer a refund and instead said they could give me a discount next time — but after this experience, there definitely won’t be a next time. I do not recommend Lesaac cafe.

The food here was exceptional. It was my friend’s and my first time experiencing Ethiopian cuisine, and it was nothing short of extraordinary. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared and bursting with flavor — a truly unforgettable culinary experience.

Eat here every time we are in the area. Coffee is wonderful. Love the vegetarian platter. I always add beef tibs. Had my first breakfast platter a few weeks ago and now Im hooked. Clean and pleasant environment!!! Totally worth trying.

I came here to try Ethiopian food for the first time on my birthday. The food was GOOD.
I couldn’t believe that this is what I’d been missing this entire time. It was very filling for 2 people with all the injera we needed!
The servers were also the best! They explained the different dishes and encouraged us to try whatever we’d like. They brought me a complimentary slice of cake and played the birthday song! They were very welcoming and made trying something new an enjoyable experience.

Loved everything about this place. Met owner, and he made sure everything was to my liking. I’ve done custom service for over a decade, and I would give him A1.

Very Poor Customer Service and a Filthy Environment!!!!! See pictures for detail.
I have been going to Lesaac for more than four years. The food is always great, but the customer service has been getting worst every time I go there. I think it’s under new management these days, and there is ZERO customer service. The waitresses don’t even greet you when you arrive. They give you the menu, take your order, and disappear right after that. Another waitress brings the food after several minutes, and no one will check on you the whole time you’re in there. Even to pay a bill, you have to get up and ask for it. Another big reason I’m writing this review is that the last time I was dining in, there were flies all over the food. We couldn’t even eat our meal probably and didn’t finish it. The waiters noticed this and asked if the food wasn’t right. I mentioned to her that there were flies all over the food, and we couldn’t eat it. She looked at me and walked off without saying anything and brought the bills like I said something offensive or insulted her. By far, this is the craziest customer service I ever encountered in my life. I don’t think I would ever go back again.
Owner/Management: Please train and manage your employees properly. Even fast food restaurants provide some level of customer service!

I was craving for kitfo and stopped by lessac hoping I’d get a tasty kitfo with large portion, however, to my disappointment, the portion is way too small especially as compared to other Ethiopian restaurants, and the taste is mediocre as well not to mention the bad service where they don’t check on you or get your stuff timely. I usually ordered goden tibs since way back as it’s a tasty meal with large portion.
