Walking in it was not crowded just few people waiting for their orders. My 1st time there just googled oxtails it was the closest to my home. So glad I did. I asked a guy what was he ordering and he said the neckbones.. I was coming for the oxtails but he said he’s the neckbones all the time… he was a older gentleman so they don’t lie about food…lol and he said he gets them all the time… I order the neckbones greens and corn…. oh yeah and a daiquiri…
Let say some food you can’t eat in public this plate is one of them… but like I said before it was only a few people including staff (5) later the DJ came in to set up.. back2my plate. I opened the container sat down…I was only going to taste a little just too see… those neckbones was tender seasoned and the greens was just like I like them… it was 4 necks I ate 2 B4 I left…I will be coming back

We could not have been happier with this place! We were in town from Utah, so this was many of our first times (or close to it) having cajun, and the staff were very helpful and patient while we figured out what we’d like. The service stayed stellar for the rest of the night, and we particularly enjoyed the jambalaya, hush puppies, and the AMAZING shrimp po boy. Overall, I’ve been to few places where the staff was this generous, friendly, and attentive, or the food was so consistently satisfying.

Doordash order placed 1 day before my September 10th birthday . I was excited to see German chocolate cake on their menu. Its my favorite cake which I typically enjoy on my birthday. The catfish was crispy and flaky. The shrimp were the best item nice size to dip in the cocktail sauce. My disappointment came when I pulled out the banana pudding. I had the turkey neck and shrimp boil at Mardi Gras in Mesquite, and it was so good! The seasoning was perfect, the food was hot and fresh, and the flavors were amazing. Definitely one of the best boils I’ve had — I’ll be back for sure!

Update: There is a night and day difference in my first and latest experience. I returned and was very disappointed in my food. All of it went to waste. The fish tastes like it was cooked in old grease and the fries and chicken were hard and overcooked.
First review: This was an unexpected gem! This was my first time visiting and I was impressed. The food was hot and the vibes were great! The daiquiri wasn’t my favorite but I’ll try other flavors next time. I’m already looking forward to next time!

Absolutely loved this little Mardi Gras gem! The food was amazing — super fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The fried catfish was one of the best we’ve ever had, and the portions were so generous that two of us easily shared one order. But what really made the experience unforgettable was the service. The lady at the front was the sweetest, kindest person — she went above and beyond and even brought free waffles for my kid without us asking! Such genuine Southern hospitality. If I could give it six stars, I absolutely would!

Love love loved this place!!! I’d visited years prior but only got a drink! I just hosted my party here ! & babe it was EVERYTHING!!!! My guests and I enjoyed the delicious platters catered by the business! Wings, fried fish, daiquiris it was alll a vibe!! If you want to chill or get some good Louisiana cooking with a daiquiri this here is definitely a Mesquite charm. Great staff, take care of everyone make you feel welcome!!!

My friend, took me here on Friday. A birthday celebration great DJ he was very good. The atmosphere was very pleasant. The only thing they ran out of pork chops. But the wings were satisfying. I enjoyed myself and plan on taking my husband back on a Friday.
