Plenty of parking for this place since the restaurant is located in a strip mall.
Service was great, food was great, they have vegan menu as well, a bar, and plenty of things to try and they have sweets and desserts too.
We tried a good amount of food to understand the spread of the menu. We tried their signature cocktail called “To-go” it was solid, we liked it.
For food, we tried their Papaya Salad, then ordered their himmapan Crispy Chicken, short rib fried rice, street noodle with seafood. For dessert, we had their mango sticky rice. Everything was with the spice rack on the side.
I recommend all of them. All was very good. Their side chilies are nice and spicy, no joke!
Food overall was top notch, I’m glad that we were in the area and able to stop by and try this place on the spur of the moment. Would definitely come back to try other things on their menu, and would recommend you stop and visit this place when you are in the area!
– 30 day dry beef skewers were so so so tender, better than the ones we had in Seattle
– The drunkard noodle – noodle was made on the day of, super fresh, incredible texture. Tofu was made super fresh too
– Minced Kobe beef + egg + rice. Beef quality was superb, tasty sauce
– Salted Caramel Coconut black sticky rice dumpling, omg they tasted just like childhood home street food. Sweet and coconut explosive creamy!
– Smoked mango Negroni drink was delicious and smoky
Overall one of the most creative and memorable Thai restaurants we have been to!
Secondly, I ordered the Pad See Ew with Smoked Short Rib. It sounded intriguing as I’ve never gotten to choose the actual cut of beef in my Pad See Ew. Honestly, it was really underwhelming. Credit where credit is due, there was certainly a good helping of meat, but all the pieces were dry and kind of tough. Less of a slow-cooked short rib and more of a quickly cooked chuck. The flavor was good though. Nothing particularly noteworthy but good.
Ultimately, the flavor of the food was fine, but with so many competitors in the vicinity, I wouldn’t rank this place above any others. A for effort and creativity, but like a C for execution.
The main issue I had with my experience was the service. The staff member helping us didn’t seem too happy to be there and though not outright rude, wasn’t very far from it. Definitely nowhere near friendly. Interestingly, they only looked at me when I paid the bill. For every other interaction, they only looked at my friend. When checking on us, they only addressed my friend. Kind of like I wasn’t there.
In any case, I’ve certainly had worse experiences at restaurants so I definitely can’t say it was terrible, or even bad. But was it good? No, not really. If they were the only Thai restaurant in town, I might go back, but there’s literally one across the street and in every other strip mall.
The restaurant also has nice decorations with a charming rustic style that adds to the overall experience. The service was also great, they accommodated our big group and all our requests without any issues. I’m already looking forward to going back, especially to check out their happy hours.
The wings 9.5/10
The pad Thai 10/10
Pork belly 9/10
Wagyu beef over rice dish with and egg 11/10
This may be my favorite Thai spot in WA state. I’m struggling to think of one better. Staff, food, ambiance all amazing. I live in west seattle and ask my friends who live nearby if I can visit for an excuse to stop here
