Maybe our memories were better than the food. It’s been 20 years since we stopped in for a lunch. I’m used to food prices being high in The Islands, and though the food was good, the burger was very petite, and the onion rings were left in the deep fryer a bit too long. Still it was fun to revisit. Just wish they had a restroom on site.

Do not recommend stopping for a quick bite on your way thru. We ordered 2 cheeseburgers and 1 side of fries at 3:01 pm, didn’t get our food till 3:58pm, there was not a long line of guests (2 people ordered before us and a 3 while we were waiting). Their sign said they were short staffed but the girl at the cash register sat on her phone 90% of hour we waited for our food. Burgers were bland but the fries were decent. We were not impressed at all

Great burgers after a day at the beach.
Be careful of the chickens they are bold and will jump up on the table and try to get your food while you’re eating. It was funny and we had a good laugh . Our first time in Kauai and we definitely will be back to Kauai and to Duane’s Ono-Char Burger

There’s a reason this place is a must whenever we visit the island and our experience this time was just as amazing as every other time we have come. Thankful they survived the pandemic. The quality of food, friendliness of staff and overall atmosphere were top tier. Our go-tos are always the teriyaki, local boy and local girl. If and or when you are on Kaua’i, make this happen on your way up to the North Shore. You won’t regret it.

Stopped here for dinner. Portion size is small and you order the burgers/sandwiches individually. If you want a side with it that’s another $5-6 for a small fry. Took 28 minutes to receive our food after ordering. No orders ahead of ours. Burgers tasted good but they were small. For the price expected to leave full instead we all left like we only ate a snack. Kids were still asking for more food so had to stop to get them something else for dinner to fill them.

NOW THAT’S A BURGER! We had the basic burger. It was cooked perfectly and had that perfect backyard bbq char flavor. The patty was moist, the lettuce was crisp and fresh, the tomato was perfect AND the bun was soooo soft. The $9 price was perfect! I had the fries— they were crispy and hot. He had the onion rings. The service was friendly but don’t expect fast food turn around timing. We didn’t mind because our food was fresh and hot. This place features only al fresco seating and its perfect on a breezy day.

Great burger stand! They were friendly. Not a lot of parking. But we managed. If you are a clean freak, maybe think twice. Maybe. But if you are normal the place is great. Got the local boy. It didn’t disappoint. Wife got the local girl. Has Swiss instead of cheddar. Fries yes. Onion rings also yes. They don’t fall apart when you eat them. I approve. Typical pack of chickens joined us for lunch.

We stopped at your burger place for lunch on [Date] because we were hungry for a good burger. While the ordering process was pleasant and the menu selection was large, the experience quickly soured due to an egregious failure in customer service.
I urgently needed to use the restroom. I understand there is no public facility, but I respectfully asked the cashier to request manager permission for an exception. The manager’s immediate and unwavering denial, even after I begged, showed a shocking lack of grace, compassion, and common human decency.
For a person in a customer service role to refuse a basic human need, especially to a customer visiting from Oʻahu, is unacceptable. This action was heartless and overshadowed the entire meal.
Sadly, that lack of care seemed to carry over to the food. The burger was bland and tasteless, completely lacking any depth of flavor or special sauce. Furthermore, one of our party’s meals was served cold. While the fries were good, the overall experience leads me to say I would absolutely not return. I cannot support a business whose leadership lacks basic human empathy.

This has got to be one of the best burger places ever. If you are gonna head to the North Shore keep your appetite and stop roadside in Anahola for one of these burgers. They are delicious. You can take the food to go or sit outside on picnic tables and enjoy!!! Yummy!!!
