We are so excited that Sweetgreen has opened in Rochester Village! We first discovered this amazing place in New York a few months ago and instantly fell in love. Ever since, we’ve been hoping for a Michigan location—and now it’s here, right in our neighborhood!
The salad choices are incredible—there’s a huge variety of fresh, flavorful, and creative options, and the quality is consistently outstanding. Whether you’re into bowls, seasonal ingredients, or classic greens, there’s something for everyone. The portions are generous, however the portion of protein was a little less than expected, we asked for more, but I guess we were charged for that.
The staff are super friendly and welcoming, and the whole atmosphere feels clean, modern, and vibrant. It’s the kind of place where healthy eating doesn’t feel like a compromise—it feels like a treat.
We absolutely loved our experience here. Highly recommended if you’re looking for delicious, nourishing food made with care. Welcome to Michigan, Sweetgreen—you were worth the wait!

I paid $6 extra dollars to add steak to a salad bowl for a total of $22… I was awarded with the smallest, most over cooked bites of steak I have ever seen. They were so cooked and dry, they sounded like dog food when I dumped them out.

We got this from a rep in our office and OMG I got the guacamole greens and it was SOOOOOOOOOOO good! I mean, I’ve been wanting it again ever since Wednesday I seen the other salads at the office and they didn’t seem like my taste, but this one, probably the best salad I’ve had in a LONG LONG time. I squeezed two limes on it with the dressing and it was ♀️ I mean, very millennial of me, but I did take a picture and post on IG lol. Peak eating experience you need to cut up the avocado with your fork so it gets evenly distributed in the salad and once you put on the dressing + lime juice shake it really good for a minute and I’m TELLLLLLLLLLING YOUUUUUU. Was really impressed with so many aspects of this place! The food was fresh, the service was friendly, professional, and quick, and the vibes were great. The place was clean and nicely decorated as well. I recommend making your own bowl and include either blackened chicken or salmon. The green goddess dressing was super delicious! Just didn’t love the tofu so much, so would recommend avoiding that. We will be back!

My meal exceeded my expectations! I usually go to chipotle but the last couple of times they were out of chicken and out of so much that I just got totally frustrated with them. I Doordash so I pick up a lot from sweet Green as well as chipotle, and the other restaurants in the village of Rochester, so I decided to Go to Sweet green! I honestly don’t know if I will go back to chipotle! I ordered my bowl between 6 and 7 PM and the young man that helped me and taste test. A few things was exceptional. Thank you sweet Green for such an awesome meal.!!

Martell took care of me today. He was so nice, friendly, and welcoming. He double checked on how much dressing I wanted which I really appreciated. Store was clean and food is great! So glad the village has a sweet greens. Will be coming back

I was asked by management to send an email (which I did) only for them to not respond.
I really enjoyed my salad but was upset about my order of fries. They were overcooked burned (some of them had a white residue on them Im not sure what it was) and I could barely chew them I had to throw some of the fries away. I believe they cost a little over $4 so I paid for something I could barely eat

Not sure what is up with this location but my fiance had to wait over an hour for her steak to be made and I know the Birmingham location would not let this hot honey chicken bowl go out the door. I go to the Birmingham location quite often for work and it would have been smarter to just make the drive down there.
I was excited to see a Sweet green open near home but I would not have recommended we get this for dinner if I knew the Rochester location was lacking.

Ordered a salmon bowl and received zero salmon. I also paid for a kids meal that was never made. When I asked about it, the staff was rude and acted like it was my fault. On top of that, their hours aren’t updated properly, and when I politely brought it up, the person at the register dismissed me again.
I’m a regular at other Sweetgreen locations and never have issues, but this Rochester location has consistently poor service. Really disappointing experience – I wouldn’t recommend this location to anyone.
