Came here on the Lunar New Year. One of the best experiences I’ve ever had! Our waitress was extremely kind and helpful. It wasn’t busy at all right when they opened at 5. Loved the traditional dining setting and everything was absolutely delicious. Their house sauce they serve the vegetable salad in is divine!

Atmosphere was good, it’s kind of old but has a good sense of traditional Japanese style.
We ordered Sukiyaki & Tempra from combos for two and Wafu Steak. It comes with Osumashi soup and small plates salad which has mayo-miso-ish taste dressing. All the food was great
The reason I didn’t give them five stars is the service. We went there for weekday dinner time and there was only one employee who did host, took orders and served food. Because of that, we had to wait for everything.(before and after seated, order, checkout..). The waitress was really nice and worked hard. I hope they will have more employees next time.

Cannot get enough of this restaurant. Have gone twice now two months in a row. The adorable sectional seating provides separation from others and the service goes above and beyond. We asked a ton of questions about what items were, how they are cooked etc. The Suki Yaki is still my favorite with the sushi flowing in second!

The servers are excellent and the food is so delicious. It is fresh and 100%amazing! Our server was so helpful and explained what the dishes were. The atmosphere is a little outdated and dark. They could use a light color paint on the wall to brighten up the room a little. Overall, we had a great experience and highly recommend this place!

Came in with no expectations. Try to get a booth if you want a bit more authentic experience. Service was amazing. Nice sake and beer selection. The chefs unagi special was mouth watering delicious with generous portions of eel. We were pleasantly surprised by the sukiyaki….easily one of our favorites. Hot, slightly sweet, fresh ingredients, and for the soul. See you soon

Decent Sushi spot. Has a nice atmosphere & the food was good… But if you’re from the east coast, leave those expectations at the door.
This town doesn’t have the essence like they do back home

I’ve been here a number of times and have been pleasantly surprised every time. The staff is wonderful, the food is authentic and delicious, the building has amazing history, and my favorite of all would be the rooms that require no reservations! Thank you for all your years in Spokane Suki Yaki Inn!

We were looking for some Japanese food and stumbled on this gem downtown. It has an unassuming frontage on the street and the interior is homey and laid back. We were greeted warmly and shown to the tables where you drop your feet under the low table. Wasn’t sure if I folded well enough to sit there but it all worked out.
The wait for the food was leisurely, this is not fast food, but we were served our order and it was quite flavorful. Some sushi, a pork cutlet, tempura sukiyaki and teryaki. Everyone loved their dishes.
A liesurely setting for some flavorful dishes with family, what’s not to love?

We love this place for the mouthwatering food and fantastic service! Our favorite items are the Suki yaki and shrimp tempura as well as the sushi (crunchy roll, caterpillar roll & grand slam). Even the sauces are so delicious (plum sauce and miso dressing) and the food presentation is beautiful. We can’t wait to return!

The restaurant is so cute and the waitress was absolutely lovely! We had the california rolls and suki yaki, along with other meals. But those dishes were so freaking good, we’ll definitely be back.
