First visit – 01.08.25
Superb evening at El Mirador. We have been visiting for many years and the quality always remains the same. We were greeted with a warm welcome as a party of 7 with two young children.
Food was delicious, and very quick out of the kitchen, especially with how fresh it all was. Staff were extremely attentive and could not do enough for us.
Setting was beautiful. A wide variety of foods on the menu. Portion sizes were very big. Would highly recommend.

Second visit – 08.08.25
Unfortunately our second visit this holiday was not like the first. So I have amended the scores to reflect both visits. We ordered a selection of starters for the group. However a number of items had to be sent back to the kitchen. The worst being raw chicken wings that were still frozen. The waiter who served us was incredibly apologetic. When they were then brought back out they were on the same plate, had clearly been just warmed up. We were also not given any new cutlery or plates so still had the remnants of raw chicken. Major health risk here which is concerning.
The starters were then not cleared away and raw chips and one of the children’s meals brought out. We waited a further 20minutes for the other main meals so sent the food back once again. When the main meals came out they were good, much improved from the starters.
It is a real shame as our first visit this holiday was so good, just like all the other times we have visited over a number of years.

Been coming to Arenal D’en Castell for many years and not visited this restaurant, however the beat on the street is things are hotting up in this kitchen. So we went along and sure were impressed!! The service and atmosphere was amazing and so was the food!! I cannot fault it as it was excellent and very generous portions too. Definitely will stop by here more often! The view is also excellent here, be sure to book ahead if you want to be in the front! Very impressed

Wonderful location. We went in off season so very quiet. They were prepared to do a paella for us, even though we hadn’t ordered in advance. Mirador Salad absolutely gorgeous. Waiter was really lovely and made our 40th wedding anniversary truly special.

Amazing restaurant with a stunning view! The staff were super friendly and the food was one of the best that I already have. They serve big portions and the price is fair. Everything was perfect. There is also a swimming pool for restaurant’s guests. We are looking forward to our next visit there

Amazing food and really nice staff, to top it off the view is really nice too! I got the fillet steak and it was cooked perfectly, the pepper corn sauce was also perfect. Very happy and will definitely be coming again!

We wont be back

Rushed to order and was told our table was needed for another reservation at 15:00. Left at 15.25 and restaurante still half empty????

Felt a little ignored and staff not too friendly.

Lasagne cold in the middle and needed to be sent back.

Took 15 minutes to clear the starters, and another 25 minutes to receive our second course

Food mediocre, and ribs in a red wine sauce was dry, no sauce. Caramelised beef was chewy and the curried rice… Mush…

Wasps galore!!

19.90 for the menu… In my opinion, over priced

We had lunch one day and dinner the next. Great views, attentive service at lunch and sandwiches were excellent. There was also a pool! Dinners were good, but not quite as nice and service was less attentive. Risotto was a little too creamy for our taste, spaghetti bolognaise was a small portion, garlic bread was just a thick slice of bread, very strange! But overall 4* and very good value for money.

Do not overlook this place. The view from the terrace is amazing and the staff are amazing, as is the service provided.
We visited twice (as a party of 4) and enjoyed our meals on both occasions.

It would have received a five star review but one of the party had a slightly dodgy stomach after the first meal due to some pork that was slightly undercooked however that did not stop us visiting a second time…they just avoided the pork
The other slight niggle that brought the rating down is the pool table which can be off-putting when people are using it while you are trying to have a meal and a conversation.

The restaurant however is well worth a visit if you’re ever in the area.

Went in for a family meal. Worth booking if u want a table with a view as the views over the bay are amazing. Pool table is good if you have kids of certain age. Lots of staff and quick service . We did a mixture of starters that were great. Personally wasn’t so impressed by the mains ( roast pork mirador style) but a nice evening
