O’Betty’s is a little hidden treasure right off of Court St that every Athenian has visited at least once after a night out, and most definitely during the day for lunch. They make the best hot dogs in town and cater to the vegetarians as well. Inside O’Betty’s is fun, contemporary, and sassy. It’s a cool place to visit and grab lunch that is affordable and filling. The staff is also usually very friendly and accommodating.

Crispy, golden, and just the right amount of salty, O’Betty’s fries are the perfect sidekick to their legendary hot dogs! Freshly made and served hot, they’ve got that old-school diner vibe with real flavor.

I love this little hole in the wall establishment. The hot dogs are amazingly good. The fries are delicious. And the atmosphere is fantastic. I ate here year ago when I was in college at OU. Now I find myself visiting from over 2 hours away just to get the dogs here.
If you are in the area, you have to try this place out. It’s so good, and an extremely good value.
Edit: Ordered lunch the other day. I ordered a MataHari and a Syra. Absolutely delicious. These are some of the best hot dogs I’ve ever had. Love Obetty’s, and I’ll be back again and again.

Great hot dogs and amazing fresh French fries!! The chili dog is amazing. The chili cheese fries are awesome. The fresh garlic fries are also really good, but the garlic is strong so make sure you really like garlic. 🙂

What an amazing find while passing through Athens. The selection of meat along with toppings and buns can keep you busy for an hour. The pretzel bun and the French bun were perfect with the meals that we ordered. The chili cheese fries were very good even though I’m not a fan of their seasoning. As you are enjoying your dinner the decor of this restaurant is intriguing as well and will keep you busy looking with amazement at many vintage Hot Dog advertisements and other items. Very good work on the interior design. There are so many hot dogs here you could go 20 times and not try them all so we will definitely be back over and over to work our way through the menu. Our only regret is we didn’t get a chance to stop by there on the way home. This is a must for a small brick and mortar non-franchise restaurant. See you soon.

Others may like the taste of the hot dogs here, but I found it to be too sweet and just not enjoyable. Then the fries were way undercooked. Kinda of a underwhelming disappointment considering all the hype of it being the best hot dogs around.

We drove 2 1/2 hours to eat here. The same aff was amazingly friendly, the hot dogs were fabulous and the large fries was more than enough for hubby and I. Definitely recommend

I don’t really like hot dogs, so I am extremely picky but I will drive for about a hour just to eat at O’Betty’s because it is the absolute best and well worth the drive. They have a wide selection that will suit any one, everything is made when it’s ordered and you get so much food for very little money. Also, the decor is so interesting and every time I am there, I find something I had noticed before. Then there is the added bonus that the staff is always courteous and usually very funny.
