We are BBQ snobs and have not found a BBQ place in Michigan that we have loved since we moved here 6 years ago, until now! This was delicious and I am definitely going to be dreaming about their lemon pepper wings until we are able to come back. We live about 2 hours away but we will definitely be back! So so good!

Ordered 2 brisket parfaits. This was my gold to at Primos for a few years now. I ordered beans and potatoes as my sides but they must have thought I meant I wanted beans as the primary and brisket as the side. Under the potatoes there was one thin layer of brisket, then beans from here to China, then another small layer of brisket at the bottom. It didnt use to be this way. Portions should be standardized in a kitchen so I can only assume this is the new normal. Previous to this I would have given promos 5 stars. Im going to give them another shot but if this is the new norm I’ll never be back. And again, portions should be standardized so im afraid this is the new normal. I’ll adjust my rating to 5 if this is a one off or if primos responds, acknowledges the travesty they imposed on me, and changes course.

Definitely disappointed from the reviews we rode almost 5 hours on a motorcycle to try this Barbecue on our way to the Mackinac bridge. Not only were we served old dry food the best part was the seltzer water and the chips. I almost never leave anything on my plate but I didn’t even finish. The brisket was tender but it had been overcooked to where it didn’t even stay together it was just falling apart with a touch of a fork like a pot roast. The pulled pork I guess was the best part it was very greasy and still had some flavor. The ribs if that’s what you want to call me or like the very end more like burnt ends and they were extremely dry you couldn’t even chew the pieces. My platter had one eatable rib my wife’s had three but burnt and dry. Maybe we just went on a bad day. I figured explaining to the lady that we were from Cincinnati and the reviews we’re positive that we wanted to veer off track to stop there and eat it was not worth it at all. Almost seems like we were given bad food on purpose. I ended up putting the brisket in the beans play give them flavor.
My wife said the mac and cheese was pretty good.
The bread and butter pickles were actually really good.

If you’re ever in Cincinnati try Pickles and Bones for good authentic BBQ.

First time staying in Cadillac and decided BBQ sounded good. I got the pulled pork combo with Mac and cheese, then added a side of baked beans.

The pork was juicy but luke warm. The mac and cheese tasted like deli mac and didn’t much flavor, it was also kind of cold. The baked beans were my favorite and came hot.

Overall, for the price it was okay. I’d recommend that they add 4oz of bbq to each order inside of 2 oz for the 1/2 lb. of meat you’re getting. I also wish the combo didn’t come with chips and you could pay another dollar for an additional side.

I ordered a bunch of different things from the menu today so that our family could give primos a try. I did a doordash pickup order. I have lived so close to this establishment for years, and never tried. I highly recommend you try it and don’t miss out. I will list our top 3 favorites in order.

#1 Pesto chicken melt. Best sandwich I’ve ever had! I couldn’t stop eating it!

#3 The veggie Flatbread pizza. Soo good!

The meat sampler platter was delicious! The meats were all delicious.

The Mac and cheese was a miss for our family. It has way to much smoke flavor. I wish they offered a non smoked version. We got 3 Flatbread pizza’s. They were great. The dough is perfect. I do wish they offered a white sauce, as I’m not a fan of pizza sauce. Cheese potatoes were not my favorite . We were missing the baked beans so we can’t comment on them. But I highly highly recommend you stop in.

Very nice stop for a quick bite. They offer free beer samples. Live events and good food. I ate the flatbread pizza and it was good. Alcohol is also very good as well. Owner and staff are very nice and personable. Will be back soon.

Mediocre at best. The ribs were like beef jerky . The ribs were over cooked so much that the bones turned to mush if squeezed or bit into it.The brisket was ok salty but not cut against the grain that would have definitely helped with texture. The Mac and cheese was good the dining area is ok. The picture added is one of the ribs I received they all looked like that.

Lot is easy to pass up, but a good amount of spots available. Food was less than average quality, high in price. BBQ brisket was fatty, Chicken Pesto didn’t have much pesto flavor and pulled chicken was hearty. It did have a good amount of meat but sauces were average. Desserts were less than average. Temperature was cool and they made it uncomfortably cold having a large fan blowing. Repairs are needed as I tripped over a loose floor piece & only one bathroom the was not able to be used as an employee spent a long period of time in it.

Everything was dry,the mac was paste,the wings were the size of my thumb and leather. Pulled pork was dry and stringy with no flavor. For the price I paid id expect it to be at least decent. Been there 3 times and its never good. I will stick to making it myself.
