I am very disappointed because it seems like they don’t give any meat really they give you more vegetables than anything. Y’all are messing up the legacy that chuck left behind. Y’all are not making those pizza right like you supposed to. i’ve been going to this place since I was a little girl and I’m 34 years old ain’t no way stop being stingy with the meat. That’s why my daddy love the pizza because he wasn’t stingy with the meat.

My family has been going here for 14+ years and the last 2 times I’ve ordered from here the pizza has been HORRIBLE. The last time in ordered a small turkey and it was way overcooked, they offered another one. Same issue. Tonight, in ordered another pizza and it was threw together. Each and every bite was even more and more disgusting. I bit off several pieces to try to see if I could get a piece and failed miserably. This is so disappointing and I won’t be back

Dear Chuck’s Pizza Team,

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Chicago after being away for over 30 years. During my trip, I was delighted to discover that my favorite childhood pizza spot, Chuck’s Pizza, is still thriving and serving the incredible pies that I fondly remember.

During my visit, I ordered three pizzas to take home, and I must express my sincere appreciation for the quality and taste of your offerings. It was a nostalgic experience that reminded me of the wonderful moments I shared with family and friends over your delicious pizza.

It is truly commendable that Chuck’s Pizza has remained a permanent fixture in the community, continuing to provide exceptional food to both new and returning customers. I am excited to make this a regular stop on my future visits to Chicago, as your commitment to quality and consistency is evident in every bite.

Thank you once again for all that you do. I look forward to enjoying more of your wonderful pizza in the years to come.

My food was okay. I give you five stars because the size of pizza that I bought. They have a promotion going on wherever you buy 24 inch pieces you can get a 10 inch piece of for free. I only had atet at this place two times. The first time my husband went and picked up a pizza the pizza was not hot like it was supposed to be. The second time I went and picked it up and I got there at 5 to 10 minutes before my order was ready. The 24-in pizza was not hot like it was supposed to be. It was lukewarm. They also serve ice cream cookies and other foods.

Please figure out the dough issue the crust was brick hard super inedible customer service 0 I asked for a bag the lady said they didn’t have any although I was staring at the bags. The food should be top notch if you going to be a horrible cashier. This place will be closed in a year if they don’t shape up

Everyone who works there was super kind and even helped to recommend some things to try. I have had their bbq wings, pizza, and calzones all which have been super tasty and satisfying . They were also super speedy with my order and everything was made fresh to my order!

Wow I cannot believe this place is still open. Best Pizza in Chicago. I grew eating tons of this pizza in the 1970s and early 80s (we would drive from Hyde Park to Chuck’s to get pizza). The next time I am in Chicago I am heading straight to Chuck’s

It took me over 2 years to try this place again. I must have went on the wrong day. It took them over 2 hours to complete my order. And then get home to the pizza being a total disaster. Not sure if I will be going back.

After a rather disappointing experience trying the local Home Run Inn I noticed Chuck’s Pizza pop up in the ol’ Uber Eats rolodex. I decided to try the standard sausage/pepperoni (if they can’t get this basic pizza right then it’s a hard fail) as well as a specialty sandwich of theirs called the “Freddy.”

Pepperoni & Sausage Pizza –
Price – Good prices. $16 for a large cheese when that’s usually the price of a medium. 4/5 stars

Appearance – Thin crust is perfectly cooked. There’s a good balance between fresh baked softness & crispiness. Nice spread of ingredients and they didn’t skimp out on the meat. Rather large square slices than what is usually served in Chicago restaurants. It’s the equivalent of a giant New York slice, but in square form. 4/5

Taste – You immediately notice how salty it is upon your first bite. Very oily as well. The terrible sauce completely overtakes all other ingredients. You can really only taste the meat as the salt levels are just that high. The giant slices fill you up quickly. 2/5

Freddy Sandwich –
Price – $6 so its in the ballpark, but missing extras like a drink 4/5
Presentation – Sliced Italian sausage laid flat on Italian bread, topped with peppers & sealed tight with a huge amount of melted mozzarella cheese. Doesn’t look to appealing as everything is packed tight & not revealing. The bread is soft & cheese melted so it gets a 3/5

Taste – Spicy after taste that you really feel in your chest. Everything is warm & soft including the meat. Salty sauce once again ruins everything. The meat itself is well seasoned & can stand on it’s own merit, but is unfortunately touched by the sauce in most areas. Luckily, the sauce is spread thin so you taste more of the other ingredients. A surprisingly spicy sandwich like this should come with a drink by default to wash it down or a side to waste time between bites while your insides calm down. 3/5

Overall –

Chuck’s really needs to switch up their sauce. It seems like they’re using cheap Hunt’s brand tomato sauce which is notoriously salty & hard to mask no matter what ingredients you add to it. It makes you wonder if the chef has ever tasted their own dishes because if they did that sauce would’ve been switched out a long time ago. The prices are good as well as the other ingredients, but it’s unfortunate that they use such a cheap sauce.

3/5 stars
