New way of dining I fear. Scan the QR code order your food, pay for your food. If you’re using cash or want alcohol you have to get up and go to the bar to order. If you want a drink refill you’ll get it your self. The bartender was very pleasant. The food was good and fast service. We just weren’t fans of the pizza sauce. Burgers and wings were good. Here were game on the tables which was fun for our group!

Backlot Taphouse has a great beer selection and tasty Detroit style pizza. The meatball pizza was perfect. It’s such a chill vibe with a great staff. You order at the bar so make sure to grab a menu before choosing a table.

We were staying overnight at the hotel passing thru on our way to Amarillo. I am from Pittsburgh, and i have never eaten anything this good. The wings were fantastic. The drinks were on point and our bartender was super nice.

Nice place in a good location, especially if going to Baxter Arena. I didn’t eat, just had a couple of beers. I do think they should upgrade their sound system, music clarity isn’t good, and it adds a lot to the atmosphere. Roomy, with different seating options, and an outdoor patio. A number of TV’s that sports on. I would go there again when in town.

Personally, I think as a whole this is the best place for pizza and beer in Aksarben (if not the best place to grab food and a drink).
The pizzas are great, highly recommend the bourbon bbq. Wings have excellent flavor (wish they had hotter options).
They even have salads for your pet rabbit.
And Jake the bartender is awesome! The only reason for a 4 on atmosphere is that it’s quite loud even when they aren’t too busy… full house makes it hard to converse

I stay in this area whenever I travel to Omaha and always stop by Backlot for the wonderful pizza and wings. Brought the spouse this weekend, Joe at the bar showed us a good time while sitting at his rail. We went elsewhere in the area on our second day in town and none of the bartenders could top Joe along or the food and beer at Backlot. I will be back every time I am in town!

We had takeout this evening and it was a big miss. The pizza was doughy and undercooked. The toppings were either flavorless or too many peppers on the Cadillac overpowering each bite. I will try to salt and bake it hoping that it is edible.

The pizza was good. Sauce was a little too spicy, breadsticks were thin and dense. Definitely not the best Detroit style pizza around, but worth a try.

We walked in to eat there before our movie – never once greeted. We sat down and saw they had no menus as it’s online. We sat there for a bit waiting for someone to take our drink order and realized no one even comes and takes your drink order. It was all order through the website. We left. Absolutely no customer service!
