Awaken your taste buds at Apericena. Many cultures believe that a pre-dinner drink opens up the palate. From the Italian word cena meaning dinner, apericena (a-per-a-chain-a) is the ritual of enjoying a cocktail or glass of wine and a bite to eat before dinner. Our curated selection of boutique wines from around the world highlights some of the premier wine-growing regions. With over 100 varieties by the bottle and over 30 wines by the glass, we are sure you will find something you love! Complement your drink with something from our small plates menu, featuring cheese and charcuterie boards. We also offer handcrafted cocktails and beer.

We loved it! Great vibe with music, classy/upscale but intimate. Service was great, wine selections were great, fun to do wine flights, fun presentation. Food also very good. Even though it’s not a big menu, you can get charcuterie and a flatbread and have a perfectly sized dinner for 2. We will be back.

Relatively new wine bar. It has a nice sekection of wines by the bottle and the glass and also a small menu if you want some nibbles to go with your drinks. They also offer wine flights of either three or four 2 ounce portions of any of the wines they sell by the glass.

The space is nice and it’s quiet so you can speak with your party without screaming over the piped in muzak. So, why only a three star rating? Two reasons really. First, it is very pricey with a glass of wine averaging almost $15. Secondly, our waitress was significantly clueless about their food offerings. I asked about the cheeses on their plate and was told they come in big blocks from the Whole Foods across the way. When i asked about the label, she told me that the 16 year old operating the kitchen would not know. Really? Not know how to read a label?

That whole interaction really soured the whole experience for us. Then we had to ask for more crackers from the same waitress and waited over 10 minutes for them. Not good!

Excellent wines and the pour is generous. The waitstaff was very attentive. We had the vegetable flat bread and it was delicious. We will definitely be going again

Nice wine selection, wine flights are fun, but service can be slow depending on who is working. It’s a pretty dining space and I like the wine tasting events.

Nice selection of wine and food. You are definitely paying top dollar for everything. If you are going to be on the high end of pricing, everything really needs to be 100% on the mark. My biggest issue was the service. There was one server for the entire dining area and another for the bar. The waitress was a very nice young lady but it was clear she had not been trained on any of the wines and she was so busy that she could only buzz to the table quickly and run away just as fast. I get that its hard right now to find people but if you are charging that much, you need to figure out a way to provide excellent service.

There on Saturday, March 30. Drinks were great, wine pours generous. Solo music performer was horrible and way too loud. We could not have a conversation at our table which was furtherest away from the noise. In a venue that small, you don’t need amplifiers.

I really want to give this place a higher rating! It offers so much. The atmosphere is great, the wine selection is superb. I really like the staff also! They will chat with you and are friendly. This place has the making of a great bar that supports regulars and regular business.

What I don’t like about this place is the hours! It doesn’t promote regular business. I’ve tried many times to come for a quick drink and it’s not open. If it was open even one hour sooner it would support more business. Often on a Monday, I am forced to go to a different place. Once, I stopped by at 4:45 and someone gave me a dirty look (indicating they weren’t going to open early).

Please please change your hours!
