Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

I absolutely loved this location! Service was fast and the employees were friendly and very helpful. We ordered whatawings, fries, drinks, and a grilled chicken sandwich. There was a delicious fruity drink that was my first time having and it had a whipped topping and it was full of boboa and it was a berry flavor

The food was delicious and hot. The staff was so friendly and nice, that really means everything when you go to a fast food establishment and the employees treat you with respect and manners. They did not just say ” what else” with an attitude like many other fast food chains and restaurants. Good job you guys!

They remade my entire order that was all screwy. Remake was good.

I asked for extra onions and no pickles on two burgers and got no onions and extra pickles. lol

They also gave me, a bbq chicken melt instead of a jalapeno burger.

Tried to suggest remaking one burger that was missing instead of tossing my entire order and remaking it.

Which I would have finished, even wrong, since I can take pickles off and even eat the bbq one, since it’s actually good, just not what I ordered.

I won’t complain again or I’ll only ask for a credit.

Hate food waste. Stop throwing away food for no good reason.

I didn’t actually go to pick up the food, my husband did. But he picked me up a chicken strip basket with four chicken strips, medium fries, some toast, and two gravies, and a large chocolate malt. I’ve had this twice now and both times the food was absolutely phenomenal!! The chicken was so tender and juicy and flavorful and the gravy and toast had great flavor as well! The fries were ok, I feel like they could’ve used some more salt and they also weren’t as crispy as I would have liked either. But I’m not getting a chicken strip basket for the fries anyway, I’m getting it for the chicken and that was stellar!!

My family stopped at TA for gas as we were returning home from visiting my parents for Christmas, and it had Whataburger inside. My wife grabbed us some breakfast items while I pumped the gas. When I was done she dragged me back to the Whataburger. It seems they were offering a free coffee or cold coffee for veterans. I felt truly honored that they would do this so apart from Veterans Day. The breakfast was delicious and the cold coffee helped keep me energized. I would not hesitate stopping there on future road trips.

**Please, PLEASE fix your soda machine in the dining area, the drinks are FLAT!!! ALL OF THEM. I tried all of them and they all were flat and tasted the same. Yuck. It’s sad and frustrating because most Whataburgers have really good soft drinks, with just the right amount of carbonation. Get your tech out there and fix it.

The food seemed like it was reheated. Even with the veggies on it. My wife felt sick right after eating. The self ordering station didn’t have the little tents to get a number to put down for the order. So you go through the whole thing doing your order. Then you get to the end and have to cancel the whole thing because they don’t have the tent things there. And they weren’t really that busy. So I know they could have done much better. The employees were not that polite either.

Ordered a large onion ring $3.99+tax. Got 8 small rings. When it was handed to me I questioned if it’s a large. The female employee said yes and walked away. It was 2/3 full, what a rip off.

This whataburguer is inside the gas station but has its own entrance, it feels like a very safe place to stop at. The restaurant area, gas station, and bathrooms are clean. You can find other things to eat here besides burgers and they also have nice Texas souvenirs.
