We stopped by and had a great experience. The service was excellent from the moment we arrived—the owner himself came over to greet us and was very attentive and welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious and truly authentic Mexican cuisine. This is an actual sit-down restaurant, not a typical taqueria, which I think is important to note. I was honestly curious after seeing a few negative reviews, but those didn’t reflect our experience at all. Because it’s a full restaurant with homemade dishes prepared on-site, the prices are understandably a bit different than a taqueria, but well worth it. The chef even came out to explain the meal we ordered, which made the experience even more special. Everything tasted fresh and homemade, we had no issues at all, and we really enjoyed our visit. Highly recommend—overall, a very good experience.

Second time visiting Polanquito and it absolutely did not disappoint. I tried the Barbacoa this time—rich, flavorful, and very authentic, with every bite packed with great taste. I also had the Mole Chilaquiles with Milanesa, which were just as delicious, plus an iced horchata latte that paired perfectly with the meal. To top it all off, I ended with a sweet chocolate-filled croissant for dessert, which was the perfect sweet finish. If you’re looking for truly authentic Mexican food with bold, well-balanced flavors, this spot is definitely worth checking out.

The vibe and atmosphere were honestly a 10 out of 10. I loved the energy of the place and the service was good as well.

Unfortunately, the food just did not live up to the experience. It was not terrible, but it was underwhelming enough that I would not come back. The tamale was overcooked and had way more masa than chicken. The green sauce tasted like it came straight from a can. The fish tacos were disappointing too because the breading was very soggy.

Overall, great ambiance and solid service, but the food did not match the vibe. I would probably recommend trying a different spot.

Authentic Mexican food. Great service and atmosphere. Prices are higher but definitely worth it. When you taste the food, you know there are no corners cut. Everything is fresh and you can tell it’s homemade. Nothing from a can. Their black beans are amazing. We tried the picaditas, mole chilaquiles, pastor tacos, lamb barbacoa tacos, and chorizo papa taco. So so good!

I tried their barbacoa tacos and immediately was transported to México, the flavor was authentic and the portion was generous. The customer service was on point and eager to give you good recommendations. The horchata with a shot of espresso was a really balanced drink, not too sweet. The cochinita pibil was probably the only dish I would say was ok. Not bad by all means just not as good as I’ve had in México. But the barbacoa is where is at 10/10 just perfect. Their habanero salsa also has good flavor!!! Will definitely come back again!!

The welcome was warm and friendly, making me feel right at home. The coffee was delicious, and having it with a warm concha was simply perfect! The chilaquiles were outstanding—definitely some of the best I’ve ever had. I truly loved the experience and can’t wait to come back to try more of the amazing dishes on their menu.
