This is one of the best Italian restaurants that I’ve ever been to. Because it’s a family run, business literally all the kids, all 8 of them, and their significant others. All work at the restaurant. The menu is a sixth generation from Sicily, and they do not even have a refrigerator or freezer, every single thing, including the desserts are made daily. And if you want authentic cuisine straight from Italy Mario, the owner and the family will definitely treat you right. You definitely will not be disappointed. As a 3rd generation Italian, I can attest to the authenticity. For vino and drinks there’s a full, expansive selection

First time dining here. We had bolognese pasta and grouper and calamari steak. Delicious. For dessert we had cake and tiramisu. Delicious. Great atmosphere and service. We were seated immediately for dinner and chose the quieter dining room.

Delicious. The parsley was so fresh and it was the garnish on the plate. The chicken was tender. Big shrimp. Very happy. No long wait to be seated or to be served.

While celebrating our 35 year anniversary we happened across this restaurant. As a retired military veteran of 36 years I consider myself a foodie that has traveled the world sampling food.
We had the Tromba Rustica and lobster Ravioli and it was amazing. The flavor was truly outstanding (a 3d experience in flavor, presentation, and quality) The atmosphere was perfect.
Everything from the service, food and ambiance was pleasant and definitely on the list of places to go again in the near future.
Highly recommended!!!!

I was on the fence about this place so never went. As time passed I started to hear good things from people I actually knew. We finally decided to make a visit and so glad we did. I ordered the caprese salad and eggplant Parmesan. Don’t know the name of my friends’ dish but we both enjoyed what we had. Perfect portions (as I am not one for large portions but food is so-so) and very good. The service was excellent. Casey was our waiter and he was superb. We used to have a go to restaurant for Italian but this place has earned our business and will be our go to for Italian.

We love having dinner and drinks here. The staff is so warm and welcoming and it always smells like the most delicious things are happening in the kitchen. Casey, our usual bartender, is friendly, personable and makes a mean martini. Laura, one of the owners, is usually out on the floor talking with all the patrons and even delivering food and helping behind the bar. She is so warm and genuine when you have conversations with her. It’s such a nice touch in today’s fast paced environments. Now…the food. The food is fantastic. First things first, get the homemade bread. It is incredible. Next on our list of favorites is the Bolognese and the Marsala. The pastas are also homemade and you can taste the difference. And to finish the meal we looooove the tiramisu. Also made in house by the family’s daughter. By far the best tiramisu we’ve ever had. Trattoria di Bernardone is definitely our new neighborhood Italian restaurant.
Update: a new favorite has joined the group. The Tromba Rustica is now the top order for me. My husband is still ordering the Bolognese but has since added a piece of their delicious Grouper. The desserts and bread are still amazing and must haves, all made in house by the family’s eldest daughter Chiara. She is always very sweet and attentive without being intrusive, which a good combination. Chiara and her family always welcome us like we’re part of the family. We will definitely continue to make Trattoria di Bernadone a part of our weekly dinner schedule.

My wife and I had our Valentines dinner at Trattoria di Bernardone and I was thoroughly impressed with, the service, the food and the atmosphere. Our server Nina was very friendly, professional and attentive to our needs. The drinks were excellent. I highly recommend the Crab and Artichoke Crostini appetizer and their Lasagna was first class. We finished with a cannoli and it was the freshest cannoli I had ever had. Worth every penny. We will definitely be back again we had an amazing time.

My wife wanted Italian food so Trattoria we went. I ordered the Spaghetti Pomodoro with meatballs added, and it arrived piping hot—perfect for the chilly weather. The meatballs were absolutely delicious. I finished off the meal with a smooth, comforting cup of cappuccino, which was the perfect way to end the experience. Great service too!

This is my family’s first time here. It was all mostly good, some great like the Saltimbucca Strati and baked mushrrom appetizers. The breads are very underwhelming. The alfredo and pomodoro were uninteresting. The tromba rustica, gnocchi meal, and vegetables primavera were great. We know what we like now and what not to get again. Really good non-chain Italian and if you pick right, you can discover some gems.

I absolutely loved everything about this authentic Italian restaurant! The atmosphere is very relaxing and unique. The drinks and appetizers were delish! I highly recommend the calamari which is cooked very different than typical appetizer versions. The lemon cream on the crusted grouper is fantastic! I enjoyed the out of the ordinary recipes compared to typical restaurant chains. So excited to have this restaurant nearby!!
