I haven’t been to this place in years since I don’t live in the vicinity, but do love that it’s near the water. The last time I was they had a nice salad bar, but that appears to be gone and the seating is somewhat reconfigured to fill the gap.
The interior was all decked out for Xmas with several sizeable trees around the restaurant, each decorated differently. Our waitress was very nice and checked on us frequently.
I had the Reuben, which was huge and delicious. It came with a ton of tasty fries. I took one bite out of the second half of the sandwich and decided I’d have to take it and the rest of the fries, still a plenty, home. My spouse had a BLT that came with so much bacon on it she took some of it home with her remaining fries.
All in all a very nice experience!

Have had dinner at Bridgewater three times in the last year. First time was Sept 2024. It was delicious enough that when we spent the weekend in Clarksville this past weekend (Sept 2025) we had to come back.
We came on a Friday night with a party of 32. <-- not a misprint. There were 32 of us who showed up with no advance notice. We were seated promptly, and treated with respect, hospitality, and fantastic meals. Our hostess was attentive, and our servers worked their tails off with an earnest effort in keeping everyone in our party taken care of.
The food was sensational. I personally had the surf & turf. My steak was cooked exactly how I prefer (medium), and the crab cake was one of the best I’ve ever had in a restaurant. Our drinks were full, every request met, and there wasn’t a single person in our party with a complaint.
I’m including pics of my surf & turf, a buddy’s salmon, and another’s meat loaf. These plates didn’t just have presentation, they had flavor, and were just the right portions. Again, nobody left unsatisfied, or hungry.
A huge thank you to the staff of Bridgewater, and make no mistake…. we’ll be back.!

Nice and quiet restaurant with a very friendly staff. The prime rib was delicious. The Cesar salad was plentiful and fresh. The yeti burger was on point. The loaded baked potato was very good. Excellent service from our server. We had a great experience for supper.

Beautiful location near the water in downtown Clarksville, VA. All the staff we came into contact with were super sweet. Ceasar salad was amazing. Parm chicken and potatoes was delish too!

We had a group of 33 and couldn’t have been more impressed with the service. Those ladies were fantastic. Everyone’s food was cooked perfect and everything was correct. I got the ribeye and it was cooked a perfect medium and absolutely delicious. Was a quick walk from the Clarion hotel.

I ordered a Georgine salad (it said mixed greens) but what I got was just iceberg lettuce. I paid $14 for this mediocre salad. I also ordered the crab and corn chowder which was delicious. I wasn’t given any utensils (this was a takeout). I asked for some utensils and I was given 2 forks. I had to put the cup to my mouth. If I was taking the food home I would’ve been okay with the soup. I would try something else if I ever dine again in Clarksville.

First time visiting this restaurant today and we were pleasantly surprised with the food. The service was great. Only negative was a strange smell in the dining room area. It wasn’t overbearing but noticeably there. We had the blackened catfish and salmon. Definitely going back again

Within 30 minutes of South Boston, this is our favorite place to eat dinner without question. The atmosphere is always busy in summer due to close proximity to the lake. The food here is consistently excellent. We prefer the atmosphere of the bar vs the restaurant side- especially when the genX guy’s driving the music. Can be cool in the bar at times. For food:
Fried chicken salad buffalo style with dressing on side- this is the finest rendition of this type salad I’ve ever eaten! All burgers here are stellar- my fav is Tank’s Pimento. The meatloaf here is the best I’ve ever eaten outside of my wife’s @ home. The prime rib here is also a top notch item. Deserts here are decent but in all fairness, if I’ve left room for desert and craving ice cream I hit The Cottage Barn for that! Key lime pie here is good though.

One of my favorite restaurants!! I love this place and order from here very often. The buffalo chicken wings are my favorite and I like to order them to go at least 2-3 times a month. I love them because they’re not too dry and not too wet or saucy either, also not too spicy but just right with a very small hint of sweetness too. They come well packaged and always hot and come with celery and ranch or blue cheese….(The ranch is horrible though) So just use your own All the other food here is so good too though, I love their steak’s and the shrimp is so good too! I wish I could eat it everyday but it is a little pricey restaurant. We usually eat in only on special occasions or a date night. They have a really great little bar section too with great drinks imma huge fan of their baked potatoes, they are so good and huge with cheese and bacon but I’m sad because they only have them after 4pm they should have them available for lunch too because they’re amazing. All the waitresses are very pretty and sweet and very good at their job. This place is often extremely busy though especially on holidays and weekends so I normally just order to go because I don’t like the huge crowd and there’s not a lot of parking options… you can’t park in the hotel lot next door because they will tow you. Ordering to go is really easy and fast just to call the restaurant and place your order Hands down the best place to eat in the area. Great place to bring the kids during the day and great place for adults at night They decorated for Valentine’s Day too and had drink specials for Valentine’s Day so it’s a cool place to take your date.

Amazing service. Always friendly and inviting. Ribeye cowboy style is the best in town. Try the dynamite shrimp you won’t be disappointed. Also I do have to admit, every time I go in I get the crab and corn chowder. Local beer on tap.
