Meh, had the pulled pork sandwich which was very reasonably priced, but it wasn’t very tasty. Kinda didn’t have a taste, didn’t have smoke flavor or even a grilled taste you’d expect from a BBQ joint. The meat was soggy and had the bun completely wet.
One of us had a great cheeseburger and their tea is excellent. The service was great, the staff was very friendly, and the place was very clean. And they discounted our tea as a military discount, thank you!

Stopped here on our way to FL and got nice, friendly service. Food was fresh and hot! 5 of us ate for $50, so reasonably priced. I got the pulled chicken baked potato, also pictured, wings and fries. Highly recommend!

I tried the 3 meat plate with chicken, pork ribs, and pulled pork. I thought the meat was all pretty good. Moist, and cooked well, but a little under-seasoned. The meats all pair well with their sauce. The baked beans are as bland as can be – maybe this is some regional style, but I’m not into it.

The plate with a drink came to about $25. Hard pass on the tip screen with minimum 15% suggested, that’s an automatic no from me for counter service.
Fairly good value, over half the meat I took for leftovers, so this meal turned into 2 full meals for me.
I would repeat if I came through town again.
I think a full slab of ribs was only $23… I should’ve gone with that.

Yum!!!! Splitting a steak with the MR. Ordered extra sides! It’s delicious on Friday after 4 pm and Saturday after 4pm those steaks are cooked over fire!! I’m definitely coming back!

Pork, chicken BBQ and some pretty decent camp stew. They had a Ribeye steak special, but no beef BBQ on the menu. This is smaller restaurant, but we had no trouble ordering, getting our meal or finding a seat. I had the pulled pork plate with coleslaw and camp stew for my 2 sides. The pulled pork was pretty good, but I would have preferred a much stronger and spicier BBQ sauce. The only sauce on our table was extra mild and didn’t seem to have much taste. The camp stew was well made, not very salty, and had a generous amount of meat. The coleslaw was great.

The pulled pork was very good. It was smoky and tender with a nice amount of bark. The real star was the cole slaw. It’s chunky cut cabbage in a creamy sauce with relish, carrots, and a bolt of pepper. It’s served cold and crisp, a great compliment to the pork. The restaurant has great character and was a fun stop on our trip. The portions were large enough that we had leftovers to take home for dinner.

A small, locally owned, and homestyle establishment. Very nice and welcoming staff. Smells amazing inside and outside! We got the large pulled pork plate with baked beans/slaw & the full rack of ribs with a side salad/turnip greens.

Baked beans- ok…needed a little more depth in flavor (tomato sauce based)
Turnip greens- no seasoning, salt, or anything. Tasted just water boiled.
Side salad- Excellent

The meats were very tasty! However, I would’ve liked to taste a little more smoke. Baked beans were very bland, but had meat in it. Turnip greens…they need work. I can’t believe in Southern Alabama that there are no onions, pork, salt, or seasoning at all. The bbq sauce tasted like canned tomato sauce. Very bland, no bbq flavor, and tasted like it was quickly thrown together, from a can. Very disappointing for a bbq place.. Slaw was ok.. Shockingly, the side salad was incredibly fresh and the balsamic vinaigrette was absolutely delicious!! I used the remaining vinaigrette for the meats and it was incredible!
The most positive thing is that they give you some serious Southern helpings of the pork and ribs!!!! I will definitely be back, but I would like to try the pulled chicken and I will bring my own bbq sauce with me lol. If it were my restaurant I would definitely kick up the sauce, greens, and beans. They have a wonderful little place going here, though. The owner was a doll. I also would suggest that you call your carryout in advance.

Huge disappointment. Bland meat, watery sauce and an overall embarrassment to decent Alabama BarBQ places.The bun turned to mushy bread pudding consistency and spilled the bland meat all over the counter when I tried to take a bite. The sauce was very watery and nothing to write home about. Remember, the secret’s in the sauce. If you’re traveling from out-of-town avoid this place. Don’t want you leaving thinking this place represents AL BarBQ.
