An absolute little hidden gem of a place. The atmosphere in this Mexican restaurant is the cutest I have seen in a long time. Relaxing , great service and amazing food. If you’re eating with just a friend or a party of 12 Huangos can feed you! Also they have a great happy hour and the cutest little full bar

I was craving soup and decided to stop in at this place since they have a cute patio right on the corner.

Chips and salsa were delicious along with my tortilla soup. My server was very friendly and helpful in food suggestions.

I will definitely be back!

Brunch is the best at Huapangos. Bottomless mimosas are a favorite and they offer different juice choices at the best price I can find in the area. Food and service are both great and sometimes difficult to find nowadays. Family owned and operated and definitely worth a visit. I have been enjoying brunch here for years and look forward to more. Strolling the few blocks to Balboa Park to enjoy beautiful San Diego is ideal after a great meal.

I got brunch with the all you can drink mimosas. I really enjoy this place. My waiter’s name is Arian and he’s the best. Very attentive friendly and make sure you’re experience is above and beyond. The food is delicious. I know the owner by coming in here often and she is amazingly friendly. I recommend this place to anyone looking to eat delicious food and have great service. On Friday Saturday and Sunday they have all you can drink mimosas, Champagne or sangria for $18 with your meal.

True Authentic Mexican Cuisine!!! My wife and I came here twice on our Honeymoon to San Diego. Once for dinner where we had the lobster burrito and enchiladas. The second time was for brunch with bottomless mimosas/Sangria. The Sangria was on point with the orange zest. For Brunch we had the birria tacos and JT Sandwich. It was all excellent!! Omar was such a great host and the rest of the staff were very welcoming. We will come back every visit!

Such a fun place. $14 all you can drink mimosas. Service was crazy attentive. The food was really fresh and flavorful.

This was my daughter’s college hangout and I totally understand why. Came here with a large group and Arian, the owner’s son, was super gracious and accommodating.

My friends and I ended up here for a birthday and they sang us the traditional Mexican happy birthday and put a sombrero on the birthday boy. It was tons of fun, the food was delicious, and the drinks very fairly priced. I’m definitely going back!!

The quesadilla (the Loca) is the best I ever had, by a wide margin. It was hot and soft but not at all “squishy” or stringy. Recommended, especially during Happy Hour when it’s a screaming deal as are the $5 Margaritas with real Tequila.

The Enchiladas Suizas were also outstanding as were the accompanying beans. But what was absolutely amazing was the Red Rice — call it “Mexican Rice”‘; call it “Spanish Rice” or call it “Moorish Rice” — it was exactly what the guy or gal back in Medieval Morocco who invented it had in mind. It has taken eight hundred years to perfect it.

And the Flan is perfect, as of course it would be.

If you want Mexican Cuisine — not “Mexican Food” — try this restaurant. I doubt you can order anything that will disappoint you.
