After a cozy and inviting dinner at Tap & Bitters, nestled within the Somerset Hills Hotels, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, I have a few highlights to share. The staff was friendly and welcoming, making the experience quite pleasant. The menu, though not extensive, offered a decent selection. I opted for the Steak & Frites—while the taste was satisfactory, the beef could have been a tad more tender.
However, the real star of the evening was the Passion Fruit Margarita. Its refreshing and balanced taste added a delightful touch to the meal.
Although I wouldn’t make a special trip solely for dining here, Tap & Bitters serves as a convenient spot for travelers staying at the hotel to enjoy some warm food and a bar experience.

My corporate office is close by so I have been here several times over the past few years. As of this week they rolled out a new menu and I was definitely impressed. The selections are more varied and the quality also seems to have improved. I will say the staff and drinks have always been top notch, so no improvement needed there. Happy to see the menu change and save myself some DoorDash fees on my future trips!
PS – make sure you see Micael (Mickey) if you come!

We never have any luck with this place and yet I keep trying. I ordered the falafel burger. They didn’t have it and they offered me a veggie burger. Instead I got an impossible burger, which is not the same. The server was sweet but she didn’t quite get this. They didn’t comp me for my meal or offer to swap it out. After pushing hard I got 15 percent off the burger only. I wasn’t looking for the discount but a meal I could eat.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience dining at the hotel restaurant! The high quality of the food, which exceeded my expectations, pleasantly surprised me. The gourmet-style cooking was genuinely outstanding, and the unique and delicious flavors of the dishes blew me away. The cozy and inviting atmosphere of the restaurant, which had clearly undergone recent renovations, also impressed me. The service was impeccable, and the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive throughout the meal. Every bite of food was an absolute delight, with fantastic flavors and presentations that rivaled even the most expensive restaurants. Overall, I had an excellent dining experience and will definitely return to this restaurant on my next trip to town for business.

For a hotel restaurant, it’s actual well above expected. The food selection is mediocre, but what they do serve actually taste pretty good. I have eaten here several times and have had a Kobe Burger, Fish and Chips and Chicken Entree. While they will not blow you away with how it is plated, all of my meals did taste delicious.
They do have an excellent beer selection for the area, so you can get a variety of beers to try. On top of that, the service is actually quick and pleasant.
It is a bit pricey for what it is, but it’s worth a try.

Tons of craft beer on a rotating draft. Usually has something new and unusual that I haven’t had. Sometimes their variety of beer styles is lacking which is disappointing and their food is standard bar fare. Good place for craft beer lovers.

Very good beer selection; on tap and in bottles. Food is good and moderately priced. The beer is expensive. Service was good, not great. Good place to go for a cold beer after work.

A hotel bar with little atmosphere. There are usually a small number of people here, and most likely the busy times are when the hotel is hosting functions.
It does the job for a quick drink, but I would not treat this as a destination in itself.

Great service. Didn’t have some ingredients for the top two drinks which is why 4 stars. However, the Long Island was delicious – best I’ve ever had.
