Great southern style cooking that really hit the spot. Comfort food at its finest. We ate the hamburger steak and frog legs. Everything was seasoned to perfection. Deep fried Oreos to finish the meal! Desiree was our waitress and she did a fantastic job!

Shorty’s place is the definition of country diner/kitchen! You walk in and feel like your at memaws house which automatically made me feel good. The waitress was always taking care of us and asking if we needed anything. The fried okra was fabulous and very more delicious if you deep it in their home ranch. We ordered the bacon cheeseburger and chicken fried steak both deserve a chefs kiss! Would highly recommend ordering!! Lastly the fried Oreos, HEAVENLY!!

Great place for home cooking. I like when restaurants bring you a salad right when you order. Server was very friendly. Burger was cooked perfectly and the fries were crisp. Be careful sitting next to the restrooms. Stinky happens.

The servers didn’t know how big the patties were so I presented a double and expecting quarter pound patties but when I got it the patties were 8 ounces each. So this was a really good 1 pound burger for $11.99 With fries. A really good deal the meat tasted fresh and not frozen. I will come back soon!!!!!!!

I’ve been coming to this restaurant for years and today was by far the worst experience yet! The restaurant was very busy, great for them! I love to see good business. However, the service and quality of food was far below standard today. Our server was a younger woman, very rude and emotionless the entire time. Didn’t come to check on us for 30+ minutes while we waited almost an hour for our food. Which was then served cold! I ordered a kids chicken strip basket and received it as the table was finishing already and asked for a to go box. Was met with more attitude and rolling eyes. Our entire table needed refills and were never checked on or even asked if we were doing okay. I understand the food taking a bit longer than normal, however it finally coming cold and then some dishes even later is just unacceptable. A child in our party ordered a corndog and was notified after almost an hour of waiting that they were out so they had to order something else which was a toss up if it’d take another 45 minutes to make. Overall, other servers/cashiers were arguing with each other and giving each other attitude which made for a very awkward ambiance overall. Will not be returning any longer. Save your time and your money!
