Dang, the taco selection here is top tier! Heaps of good options and I will need to visit again to try out more. Staff was super nice and the tacos were assembled quickly. I love tacos!

Eddie took our order and very personable. After ordering I wondered aloud to Eddie if I should have had the chicken salad instead of the OG smoked pork tacos. My wife had VG cornivore; loves the sauce, but not jalapeños. Eddie comped the chicken salad to go. Delicious food, nice people, and Fun Atmosphere!!

Smoked Tacos sells street tacos but with more types of toppings then onions and cilantro. Their tacos are more expensive than other Taco shops. My food tasted too sweet. I really didn’t like it. The employees were really nice. They don’t have salt packets and he put some in a cup for me.

This place was great! Friendly cashier who checked on us throughout the meal. We got the smoked elote, the bang bang, the gringo, the burnt end, the OG, and the churro fries. Everything was delicious and had so much flavor. We will definitely be back again when we have the chance!

Great taco shop. This place makes really fresh BBQ style meats and mixes it into creative Mexican style dishes. This place is similar to a Torchy’s or a velvet taco. Highly reccomend.

The employees were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately that’s the only reason the place gets two stars instead of one. The food is bad. It’s not HORRIBLE. Just not good. The “OG” taco (pulled pork) had a LOT of liquid pour out of it. The meat tasted fine but there were too many other toppings. The “Hot Chick” should have been called the ‘Sugar & Onions’. There were more onions than chicken and it was so sweet that it made my Dr Pepper taste bitter in comparison. The shrimp in the “Bang Bang” tasted fine but I’ve never seen shrimp that tiny. The queso was fine but the chips were the worst part of the meal. The were burned and tasted like oil. We saw other people’s chips were also burned so it wasn’t just ours. And to wrap it all up, there were flies EVERYWHERE. We had high hopes, but this place was really disappointing. Do yourself a favor and skip this place. Go to Jurassic Tacos on Redwood if you want good food in the same style.

I would not go back here. The queso wasn’t very good. The chips were so thin they broke in the queso. The queso needed to be eaten fast because it hardens very fast. The meat on the tacos was somewhat warm but the toppings were so contrastingly cold that it made the meat cold. I got the OG taco and the sweetness for me was too much. We also got the churro fries. I suggest you eat those immediately after you order them because they don’t last until after you eat your meal. I would say I enjoy authentic Mexican food more than tacos created by people that use different ideas of ingredients to create new types of flavored tacos. So I may not be the best person to listen to if you prefer this type of taco shop.

I wanted to love this place. I love trying new restaurants in Utah but I don’t understand the mentality in this state of Utah making the most basic things and calling it good food that locals seem to get excited about. With a name like “Smoked Taco” I expected a smoky smell from all of the meat being cooked. When you walked in you couldn’t smell anything other than a an empty room with 4 people in there. There was literally a sterile smell and you couldn’t tell you were walking into a restaurant. If you have a restaurant called “Smoked Taco” it should be wafting with smoky food. What I got was 2 tacos with 90% veggies and bland dried meat. I had the “Bahn Fire” which was mostly veggies and small chunks of what looked like chicken jerky. The meat had no flavor and dry as sand.
I also had the “Memphis” which was nothing more than cilantro and veggies piled on top of 3 tablespoons of what tasted like pre packaged grocery store bbq. It was mildly sweet with a generic flavor. I could barely taste any smokiness. Hormel bakes better bbq than this.
They obviously do not “smoke” their meat onsite as it tasted like it was cooked offsite and smoke flavor added, frozen, then delivered to their store to sell $6 tacos. There is no way of telling how long ago it was actually cooked.
There was zero wow factor here and I definitely won’t be back. Save your money for actual good food.
Service was friendly, but that’s the only positive thing I have to say about this place.

We were looking for a early dinner on a Sunday afternoon and drove past The Smoking Taco. We really enjoyed the chips and salsa. The young man that helped us was very helpful. We will be back
