Don’t let the name Fish Market fool you—it’s not a market , but a laid-back restaurant serving up fresh seafood with plenty of options to choose from. The menu goes beyond fish, featuring tasty tacos and a variety of seafood dishes. You’ll also find a good selection of drinks, from beer and cocktails to soft drinks. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed—just seat yourself, and the friendly waitstaff will take care of the rest. A great spot if you’re craving seafood in a no-frills, welcoming setting. I was here in the afternoon for a late lunch. Prices are reasonable. Free parking in front

It was our first time coming and we loved everything ! We had Cynthia as our server and she was so helpful and kind ! We ordered so much delicious food ! The fish was so good and tasty!
The ceviche was so fresh and good !
The chip and salsa was hot and spicy and addicted . We got a virgin margarita and it was so yummy!
All the food was made with love

Really good fish dinner. Mostly tilapia on their menu. I had Haitian style marinated in spices then deep fried. Came with rice, beans salad and tortillas. It was delicious! Had a lot of bones in it but some fish does. My waitress spoke English which in this area is hit or miss. They had 2 different kinds of hot sauce I never had. The black hot sauce was fantastic! I didn’t even try the other one. I’m very pleased with my meal here. I’ll come here again. The only downside is 90% of their fish is tilapia. They did serve salmon. I want to find some cat fish. They also had oysters and octopus. I recommend this place. My food was perfectly prepared

My wife and I were in San Ysidro, CA on a recent Friday doing some holiday shopping and found this restaurant. I ordered Salmon and my wife some ceviche and fish tacos. The food was very tasty and the service was excellent. Only thing I didn’t like is the loud live music. My wife and I couldn’t talk as we usually do because of this. I understand that this is a common thing to have live music and these types of restaurants but if you want to have a conversation with somebody it is just not going to work. We will be back

Another hidden gem near the border. We are huge fans of Mexican seafood dishes , so decided to give it a try . Food was overall pretty yummy , though some items were a tad salty or greasy. Waitresses provided good service , but not particularly warm or personable especially with English speakers such as ourselves. Had a hard time getting refills as it was on the busier side. Prices are also a bit higher, and pricing for the whole fish we ordered was not clear (agreed to pay $16 for red snapper platter, but due to availability settled for tilapia which came up to be same price ???). Mango margarita didn’t taste like mango, think cherry pineapple big stick/popsicle , but was still tasty. It was also nice that we got some kind of complimentary spicy soup and chips and salsa upon being seated. Overall we enjoyed it , but not enough to go back a second time given all the other options here in San Diego.

The octopus tacos were super good, the octopus was very tender. The smoked tuna tacos are very rich, I wouldn’t recommend trying to eat two. Great and friendly service, they speak Spanish and English. Everything was very clean. The food came out quickly as well. I highly recommend this spot for any who likes seafood.

Food here is really good and the service while dining in is also very good. Im only giving 3 stars because their hours online say they close at 9pm and I was told they were closed at 730pm. It’d be nice if they updated their hours online, but definitely a place thats worth a try

Excellent flavor and portions, price might be a little higher than other eateries in the area but very well worth it. Added bonus they have takeout and mini fish market for folks that want fresh filets to cook at home. Very attentive, knowledgeable and overall good service. Just want to point out that specials outside of restaurant aren’t respected and maybe conveniently out of date.
